Your Role:
In the role, you will be the single point of contact for assignees, managers and HR Business partners for all matters related to the international move of an employee and during all phases of the process.
Core Responsibilities and Compliance
Expertise in preparing & discussing Cost projection and Balance Sheet for International Assignments & International Transfers.Experience creating, reviewing, and implementing global mobility policies (short-term, long-term, and permanent moves), aligned with business goals and employee needs.Experience in conducting policy consultations, HR briefing, enabling employee, business leaders, HR teams, department heads & ensure consistent implementation of mobility policies & procedures.Has knowledge of expatriate tax implications, social security requirements and ensure both employee and employer are compliant in home & host country, in collaboration with the tax provider.Ability to foresee and mitigate risks related to compliance, assignment failures, and employee dissatisfaction.Competence in analyzing mobility trends, employee feedback and able to recommend process improvements or policy adjustments.Ability to resolve issues arising in complex international assignments, such as visa delays, tax complications, or relocation challenges, ensuring a positive employee experience.Maintain accurate records of global mobility, including assignment details, cost tracking, and compliance documentation.
Strategic and Operational Management
Competence in managing mobility budgets, cost control, and understanding of the financial implications of international assignments.Ability to manage third-party providers such as relocation agencies, tax advisors, and legal counsel.Experience in working with senior leadership, HR teams, and external vendors (tax, immigration etc.) to align on global mobility strategies.Strong project management skills to coordinate and execute multiple assignments, relocations, and international moves.Familiarity with global mobility management platforms and tools (e.g., AssignmentPro (APro), SNOW, SAP & SuccessFactors).
Supportive Skills
Ability to navigate cultural differences and communicate effectively with employees, HR teams, and external partners from a diverse backgrounds.Ability to negotiate terms with external providers and handle complex situations with diplomacy.Ability to align global mobility strategies with the broader organizational goals and objectives.Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines, especially in high-pressure or complex assignments.
Who You Are:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business, or related field.Global Mobility Specialist (GMS) or Global Professional in Human Resources (GPHR) or related professional qualification.Master’s degree in International Business or HR is an advantage.At least 3 – 5 years’ experience in a similar functioning role
