What You'll Do

The Global Mobility Team is BCG’s Center of Excellence for geographic moves as well as global internal and external secondments. It is part of the Global Mobility, Staffing, and Flex team. The Global Mobility Team maintains mobility policies and manages policy escalations; advises systems and programs on how to meet their mobility needs; problem solves for cross border challenges, whether related to formal mobility or other scenarios. The team supports individual transferees, sets the terms for their move and organizes vendor support, tracking etc.

 

You will act as first point of contact for consulting staff on a mobility experience and will work closely with the individual, Home and Host Office, vendors and internal experts to coordinate a seamless transferee experience. You will leverage your mobility expertise and your knowledge of tax, rewards policies and compliance to advise local mobility staff and other stakeholders. You will act as a subject matter expert for mobility tools and processes.

 

You will support global transfers, working closely with others in the global mobility team. In this role you will:

Provide case management for transfersSet the terms and conditions of the transfer, within global policies, and document and communicate theseCoordinate with others in the team, Home and Host Offices, vendors and internal experts to ensure compliance with internal policies and external requirements (e.g. benefits, tax, local immigration teams)Run cost estimates and employee net pay illustrations using Assignment ProInitiate vendor services via Assignment ProConduct pre-move briefings with transferees and act as first point of contact for questions the transferee and Home or Host may haveProblem solve, in collaboration with Home and Host office, and other stakeholders as needed. You will offer solutions and you will manage mobility policy, Rewards and cross border taxation exceptions with relevant stakeholdersSupport for global internal and external secondments may be assigned to this role as wellEnsure real time and accurate data entry into Assignment Pro to enable transparency for team members, offices and other stakeholdersProactively monitor transfer/secondment status in Assignment Pro, identify and action upcoming returns, extensions or changes of statusDeliver training to new and incumbent mobility, HR and Finance staff in local offices and businessesActively contribute to weekly Global Mobility operations team calls, bringing forward your cases as applicable for input, learning from others and proactively raising areas for improvementUndertake projects relating to specific topicsBecome an AssignmentPro Super User, if interestedParticipate in the team’s journey to continue to modernize mobility tools and processes

What You'll Bring

Bachelor’s degree from a premier instituteMinimum of 8 years relevant experience e.g. in a relevant mobility, HR, professional development or compensation role, preferably in a professional services firmExperience working in a business advisory roleExperience in cross-functional collaboration with HR, Legal, finance and other relevant departmentsExperience working with Workday and Assignment Pro is a plus

Who You'll Work With

The role is part of the Global Mobility team, which is spread across 6 locations around the globe. In this team you will have a group of supportive peers and colleagues. You will work closely with local Mobility Managers and Transfer Coordinators in the offices assigned to you, regional stakeholders, and Global Mobility Business Partners in the Global Mobility Team.
