We are looking for an Immigration Specialist who will serve as the key Affirm point of contact for immigration cases. This position will lead all aspects of the process of the immigration life cycle for employees, from assessment to permanent residency, inclusive of ensuring compliance requirements are met. You will liaise with current employees, recruiters, hiring managers, People Business Partners, Affirms’ designated immigration counsel, and our internal employment law team. You will possess a strong knack for staying on top of deadlines, all while delivering an extraordinary experience with every interaction.
This position will report to the Global Immigration Manager and is based remotely in the US.
What You’ll Do Lead all aspects of immigration programs and assist employees with immigration procedures Maintain the relationship with our outside immigration firm Monitor status of a high volume of active and pending immigration petitions, handle case initiation process and fact gathering, and ensure we maintain compliance with all record-keeping requirements Facilitate completion of immigration case submissions by acquiring signatures, information and any required documents Train recruiters and hiring managers on available work authorization types and sponsorship timelines Proactively review and report on immigration regulation updates as they relate to our employees and programs Prepare immigration-related correspondence (employment confirmation letters, travel packets etc) as needed Contribute to the development and roll out of Global Immigration projects. Providing continuous enhancements across the immigration program and being a thought-partner for future-planning initiatives What We Look For 3+ years of US immigration experience with in-depth knowledge of immigration requirements, practices and and processes is a must (H-1B, PERM, L-1, E-3 etc) Understanding of global immigration practices and/or a strong desire to learn new processes (Canada, EMEA would be beneficial) Strong written and oral communication skills in handling employee questions and time sensitive matters. Advocate for a remarkable candidate and employee experience by partnering with our external immigration counsel and internal employment counsel. Adept ability to research, assess facts, determine their impact. Enjoy creating and documenting processes and maybe even flow charts!Pay Grade - G

Employees new to Affirm typically come in at the start of the pay range. Affirm focuses on providing a simple and transparent pay structure which is based on a variety of factors, including location, experience and job-related skills.
Base pay is part of a total compensation package that may include equity rewards, monthly stipends for health, wellness and tech spending, and benefits (including 100% subsidized medical coverage, dental and vision for you and your dependents.)
USA base pay range (CA, WA, NY, NJ, CT) per year: $100,000 - $120,000
USA base pay range (all other U.S. states) per year: $89,000 - $109,000
