This position involves overseeing and coordinating quality responsibilities for ODM factories, with a particular emphasis on Surface Mount Technology (SMT) and Final Assembly.The role includes managing the onboarding and setup processes for new factories, as well as facilitating transitions when necessary.Key responsibilities encompass the review and development of manufacturing processes aimed at achieving Operational Excellence.The role also entails providing technical support for ODM manufacturing and repair processes, prioritizing the promotion of continuous improvement. Conducting comprehensive risk assessments is essential, as is the effective communication and management of operational risks.The individual in this position will safeguard NPI quality in accordance with the NPI Quality Launch Plan while supporting various NPI activities.Collaborative efforts with cross-functional teams, including Product Engineering, System Engineering, and Supplier Quality Engineering, are vital to identify and resolve issues efficiently.Moreover, the individual will work closely with Product Engineers on New User Design Development (NUDD) and Design for Manufacturability (DFM) initiatives to achieve risk mitigation through process optimization.Accountability for the quality performance of ODM factories will be a primary focus, particularly in maintaining high yield rates and conducting thorough end-of-line outgoing quality audits.Assistance will be provided to optimize production Units Per Hour (UPH) and enhance overall capacity, ensuring all operations are conducted efficiently while adhering to the highest standards of quality and performance.Relevant stakeholders will receive timely feedback regarding issue notifications, ensuring that proposed solutions are practical and suitable for factory implementation.The adoption of a shift-left approach will serve to further optimize field performance. Conducting weekly quality reviews with ODM suppliers will be a key commitment to upholding excellence across all operational aspects.Periodic audits of ODM suppliers, encompassing both process audits and Quality Systems Assessments (QSA), will be implemented to identify and address any gaps in collaboration with ODM factories.Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for this position will hold at least a Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, or Computer Engineering.
Preference will be given to individuals who possess a Master's degree in these disciplines.
Furthermore, applicants are required to have a minimum of 10 years of experience in Surface Mount Technology (SMT), Mechanical Assembly, Testing, and Industrial Engineering.
A strong understanding of PC Product Engineering is essential.
Proficiency in Design for Excellence (DFx) methodologies and experience in New Product Introduction (NPI) processes are also highly preferred for this role.
Self-motivated and proactive professional with proven creative and critical thinking abilities.
Strong capability to apply Lean Manufacturing principles to optimize operational activities, demonstrating flexibility and composure in uncertain circumstances.
