Job Description:

We’re looking for an Global ORRM Governance Manager to join our team at MBPS.

This Global ORRM Governance Manager position reports directly to the Head of Governance, Methodologies and Practices. This position is part of the second line of defense independent oversight function and will partner with the first line of defense businesses to ensure that business continuity management framework and controls are integrated with and serve to strengthen its operational resilience approach, and all the standard and regulatory requirements are addressed.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the implementation of existing and new ORRM frameworks, policies and standards.

Perform quality assurance reviews over risk programs and execution at Segments.

Report the quality assurance results, trends and report on themes and proposed actions.

Execute the review using a consistent template, demonstrate clear documentation with sufficient evidence to support the outcome before sharing with Segment risk teams.

Collaborate with Segment ORRM, IRM, Compliance, Legal, Ops and Tech 1B colleagues.

Update dashboard reporting on progress of activities, outcome, gaps and remediations, as well as metrics reporting.

Support the execution of function improvement programs including enhancements to Risk Programs.

Promote a strong risk culture and oversee relevant risk culture assessment processes.

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies/Education:

Broad knowledge of financial services/insurance business and related products

Strong knowledge in OSFI E-21, knowledge with RCSAs, Reportable Events and KRIs.

Minimum 2-4 years of experience in operational risk management plus strong knowledge of operational processes, risks and controls – specifically in the areas above.

Experience with independent control design assessment and operating effectiveness.

Ability to quickly understand business processes and their risk implications, analyze complex situations, reach appropriate conclusions, and make valuable and practical recommendations.

Results oriented with a focus on quality, delivering value, and strong attention to detail

Ability to balance priorities and meet deadlines.

Solid written and oral communication skills

Strong influencing skills with the ability to build effective relationships, both within and across divisions

High proficiency in MS Office Products and data analytics tools is a PLUS.

Self-starter with the ability to work with little guidance
