Job Summary
CooperVision’s Myopia Management portfolio, including MiSight ® 1 day; Dreamlite, Eyedream and Paragon CRT ortho-k and MiSight Spectacle lenses is a strategic priority and one of the key growth drivers for the industry, company and the region.  MiSight spectacles is the result of a joint venture between CooperVision and Essilor Luxottica.

The Global Product Manager- MiSight Spectacles is responsible for the development and implementation of the global launch readiness and marketing plans for MiSight spectacles. Responsibilities for this role include interfacing with SightGlass Vision joint venture partner, global commercial ops, global manufacturing & global supply chain teams to prepare for systems ordering readiness as well as coordinating strategy and execution with regional and market myopia management teams throughout the world, in addition to serving as primary liaison between SightGlass day to day commercial resources. This role is also responsible for pricing, global forecasting and performance tracking vs. commercial objectives.

The role works closely with the following functions: Marketing Communications Manager - Myopia Management to ensuring consistency in portfolio messaging, campaigns, launches and budgets; Global Director of Professional Affairs for Myopia Management in collaboration with SightGlass Vision to drive professional education and professional body influence; and Global Key Accounts to support penetration and development of MiSight spectacle lenses within key customers.

The Global Product Manager- MiSight Spectacles is responsible for providing input into the annual Global Myopia Management Marketing plan regarding the leadership and management of the spectacles category, for establishing the regional standards for both in-bound and out-bound marketing activities and through the engagement and involvement of regional and country level marketing, including professional services, customer marketing and product marketing.

Essential Functions & Accountabilities

Brand and Product Management Responsible for MiSight spectacles launches and ongoing performance to include: Leadership and coordination of launches around the world with SightGlass Vision team, internal  CooperVision functions (e.g. Regulatory Affairs, Quality Assurance, Operations, Finance, Commercial Operations) and with market teams. Driving and aligning annual MiSight spectacles marketing and communication plans integrated with professional (educational & trade) plan, including traditional and digital communication. Aligning commercial plan for MiSight spectacles with global Myopia Brand Team and taking responsibility for driving the implementation of these plans through regional/ in-market Heads of Marketing and  Professional Affairs, Brand Managers and Customer Marketing Managers.  In partnership with global Marcom, development & execution of global MiSight Spectacles marketing platform including creative and collateral development.    In partnership with Global professional Affairs, development and execution of Internal support materials, training, sales tools.     Working closely with BI, Finance, and regional and country marketing leads to track sales performance and report to SGV per our reporting obligations Working closely with regional and country teams to identify and share best practices related to marketing activity with strong ROI     Collaborating with regional and country myopia management teams as well as SightGlass Vision team to develop and manage category, channel and partner strategies and programs.  Contributing to strategic planning including corporate positioning on myopia management, market and competitive analysis, customer segment selection and penetration plans, and related product positioning. Monitoring competitive products and marketing activities.   Being a champion of the myopia management category and a role model for the company culture.

KOLs and industry partners via trade shows, customer meetings, and the professional marketing activities.     Industry bodies & potential myopia collaboration partners     Marketing and communication agencies on product positioning and campaign development
 

Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:  

Experience working within the optical retail/ eyewear / spectacles industry strongly preferred.  Specific skills required include excellent commercial, marketing and interpersonal skills, negotiation and influencing skills, influencing ability, strong business acumen to manage all aspects of a multi-country business, in-depth knowledge of marketing, financial and legal principles    Experience in the medical device industry, ideally with products that have both consumer and professional aspects Ability to plan and manage at both strategic and operational levels Exceptional track record of developing and implementing marketing strategies and commercial support that have consistently met or exceeded planned objectives   Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues to create a results-driven, team oriented, matrixed environment Experience in choosing, deploying, and using marketing software applications Strong analytical skills Strong presentation skills and presence Fluent English written, speaking and oral skills
 

Work Environment: This role will be based in the Victor, NY office, with some global travel required (10-15%)

Experience:    

5+ years of experience in product marketing, or a related role in the healthcare, medical device, or consumer goods industry. Experience with ophthalmology, optometry, or myopia management products is highly desirable. Global experience a plus Project management leadership experience with the proven ability to manage multiple projects or initiatives and a successful track record for launches     A demonstrated mindset to drive for continuous process improvement and efficiencies

Education: 

Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or any technical/optical or related field.

 For U.S. locations that require disclosure of compensation, the starting base pay for this role is between $112,337 and $149,782 per year and may include cost of living adjustments.  The actual base pay includes many factors and is subject to change and modification in the future.  This position may also be eligible for other types of compensation and benefits.
