Reporting to the Senior Manager Global Projects and Sales Solar, the Global Project Coordinator Solar is a sales enablement position focused on growing business and driving OTT HydroMet market position in Solar markets globally. Working closely with Regional Sales teams, customers (EPCs/E&Cs, System Integrators/SCADA providers, Developers/end-users), and cross-functional teams to develop and grow solar project opportunities, build and maintain relationships with key customers and partners to create winning conditions for OTT HydroMet.
This position is part of the Global Program Management team located in either Netherlands, Germany or the USA and will be fully remote.
In this role, a typical day will look like:
Project Coordination:
Coordinate with Market Visibility leader to understand evolving market dynamics in the Global Solar market and translate it into a target/priority list for market penetration for solar projects
Build Standard Work for harmonizing OTT HydroMet Project Playbook across different geographic regions/target markets to ensure a consistent and reliable customer experience
Coordinate with RSMs to create an annual Action Plan that will include target countries, customer engagement, including training, calls and visits, as needed, participation in relevant conferences/trade shows and exhibitions
Drive execution excellence for won projects; Seek and effectively utilize Voice of Customer/Voice of Sales inputs to prioritize most impactful actions for customers, thereby driving customer retention and adoption of OTT HydroMet solutions
Quoting and Commercial Offers:
Help create winning proposals:
Develop solutions and build Stand Work to drive 100% quote turnaround time within Customer Requested Dates of RFQs globally
Collaborate with commercial team (Marketing, Sales, Services, Commercial Finance) and help prepare commercial offers that maximize operating margins while meeting customer expectations
Track win/loss data for proposals; Seek VoC/VoS data and go to Gemba to consistently update information for OTT HydroMet to understand winning conditions (pricing expectations/gaps in product portfolio/service levels et al)
Business Development:
Support development activities and help grow early stage opportunities and prospects by establishing and maintaining relationships with developers and EPCs to build OTT HydroMet preference and influence the buying decisions of the customers in assigned regions
Lead project funnel management reviews with sales teams in assigned regions to develop, nurture and understand the health of the opportunity funnel in SFDC to ensure best results
Support current FY monthly progress reporting, funnel additions, conversions, order and revenue progress to goal
Use VES tools to drive growth, i.e. funnel management, daily management/SW, Key Account Management, Problem Solving Process among others
The essential requirements of the job include:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field; Master’s Degree/MBA good to have
3+ years of Commercial experience in Sales/Business Development, Project Management, Service/Technical support preferably in the solar measurement or instrumentation industry.
Strong understanding of solar measurement instruments and associated technology.
Willingness to travel to customer sites/GEMBA and work across different global time zones as necessary
Cultural agility in working with different global stakeholders; International experience is a plus
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for documentation and customer interaction
