Global Quality Project Lead

About the role:

As a project lead Global Quality you are responsible for managing high priority Quality projects and programs globally with impact across all regions and functions. On top you will be consulted for Quality advice in confidential programs such as acquisitions, divestitures along with other company wide programs in projects where a significant global Quality change will need to be managed. During issues which are getting globalized, you can be engaged to lead across regions. This role will be part of the Integrated Quality pillar team and implementation of the BCOS journey.

This position reports to the Global Quality Capability & Excellence Manager . You will have multiple reports within a project structure depending on the project.
 

Key responsibilities:

Manage Global Quality Projects: Lead high-impact global quality projects, overseeing project plans, timelines, budgets, risks, and stakeholder management. Build cross-regional teams, report to key stakeholders, and develop mitigation strategies. Manage change and project dependencies. Example projects include the implementation of new quality standards and tools.

Lead Quality Workstreams in Transformational Projects: Oversee the quality workstream in large-scale, transformational global business projects, ensuring alignment with Global Quality strategy and policies. Collaborate with other departments to align project plans, budgets, and timelines. Support change management and assess quality risks. Examples include M&As, greenfield projects, and footprint optimizations.

Quality Consultation for Business Projects: Provide expert guidance on quality topics in various business projects. Ensure compliance with Barry Callebaut's quality and food safety standards in project design and execution. Contribute to the creation or update of internal standards, such as engineering, GMP, and issue management.

Training & Development: Develop and deliver training on quality principles for both quality teams and the broader organization to raise awareness of quality’s importance. Organize onboarding and training roadmaps, identify improvements, and continuously enhance processes in collaboration with Quality, CI&TS, and engineering teams.

BCOS Leadership: Lead or support the Integrated Quality pillar within the BCOS journey for designated regions and topics, driving continuous improvement initiatives.

 

About you:

Qualifications: Education: Master’s degree in Science, Engineering, or a relevant field.

Expertise in business change management, project management, stakeholder management, and communication.

Fluent in English; proficiency in additional languages is a plus due to the global scope of the role

Travel: Willingness to travel globally on an ad hoc basis, depending on project requirements.

Time Zone Flexibility: Ability to manage projects across different time zones due to global scope.

Experience: 10-15 years of experience, with significant time spent in project management and quality management roles.

Experience in multinational environments, particularly in the food or pharmaceutical sectors.

Strong background in Food Safety, HACCP, GMP (Hygiene practices, Sanitation, Environmental Monitoring), and continuous improvement.

Additional Experience: Knowledge of TPM, Lean, and Six Sigma Green Belt methodologies is an asset.
