Global Relationship Leader
About the Role: Grade Level (for internal use): 14 The Role: Global Relationship Leader Overview: As the Global Relationship Leader, you will be at the forefront of managing relationships with S&P DJI's largest and most significant asset management clients globally. This pivotal role requires a seasoned professional with a minimum of 10 years of relevant industry experience in index investments, including index funds, ETFs, and related financial products. You will be instrumental in driving strategy, revenue growth, and ensuring high levels of client satisfaction. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Account Leadership: Develop and execute comprehensive account plans tailored to the unique needs of each client. Your plans will focus on both short-term and long-term goals, ensuring alignment with S&P DJI’s overall business objectives. Revenue Generation: Lead efforts to license new intellectual property and sell data solutions, while also identifying opportunities to influence distribution strategies. You will be accountable for increasing S&P DJI's revenue wallet share within your assigned accounts, driving growth through effective relationship management. Client Engagement: Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders at your client accounts. Your ability to understand their business models, investment strategies, and pain points will be crucial in delivering tailored solutions that meet their needs. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with various internal teams, including Product Development, Marketing, and Client Services, to ensure a unified approach to client management. You will facilitate communication and collaboration across functions to drive joint initiatives and maximize client value. Performance Metrics: Develop mutually agreed KPIs and OKRs tied to financial goals, ensuring regular measurement and reporting of progress. You will lead quarterly business reviews to assess performance and pivot strategies as necessary. Issue Resolution: Own a global issue log to prioritize and resolve key pre- and post-sales issues, ensuring a seamless client experience. Succession Planning: Maintain comprehensive documentation of key client initiatives, contracts, and relationship nuances to facilitate knowledge transfer and ensure continuity. Coaching and Development: Mentor and develop team members, enhancing their skills and capabilities through coaching, sharing best practices, and facilitating professional growth. Qualifications: Experience: A minimum of 10 years of successful experience in strategic account management or revenue generation roles, preferably within the asset management or financial services sectors. Education: Bachelor’s degree required; MBA and/or CFA designation preferred. Industry Knowledge: Extensive understanding of trends impacting the index, asset management, and capital markets sectors. Your established reputation in the index industry ecosystem will be essential. Results-Driven: A proven track record of exceeding sales and revenue goals, with an ability to leverage partnerships as key enablers to achieve business objectives. Decision-Making: Ability to make sound, data-driven decisions quickly in a fast-paced environment. You should be skilled at using market knowledge to persuade and influence stakeholders. Interpersonal Skills: Strong presentation, negotiation, and closing skills, with an outstanding executive presence. You should be capable of inspiring and coaching others to excel in their roles. Critical Experiences: History of creating effective annual business plans and achieving results. Experience planning, coordinating, and leading executive-level business relationships and meetings. Proven success in navigating complex organizational structures and collaborating with sales, product, marketing, finance, and legal teams. Demonstrated leadership abilities, particularly in influencing and motivating extended teams where members may not be direct reports. Compensation/Benefits Information (US Applicants Only): S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $230,000 to $255,000. Base salary ranges may vary by geographic location. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for additional compensation such as a semi-annual incentive bonus plan.
