As a Vice President in Special Research, you will play a crucial role in leading quantitative and qualitative research and analyses and developing insights into the competitive dynamics and disruptive potential of a range of companies including start-ups. A core part of this role will involve writing research notes and contributing to sector pieces for internal and external clients. You will leverage traditional and alternative data sources and collaborate closely with senior Research Analysts and client coverage teams. This is a high-impact, fast-paced role suited to a self-starter with exceptional analytical, teamwork and writing skills, along with experience in evaluating technologies, companies and industries.

Job Responsibilities:
Lead primary and secondary company/sector research and quantitative and qualitative analysis Identify and track trends across a range of emerging technologies, companies and sectors Analyze diverse data sets, news releases, regulatory filings, and industry events Build and maintain models to track emerging product, company and industry dynamics Write research notes on specific companies with differentiated ideas and insights Contribute to sector reports, presentations and corporate access Build relationships and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders/clients Respond to and fulfill internal and external requests in a timely and thorough mannerRequired qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
5+ years of experience in buy or sell-side research, investment banking, capital markets orventure capital Excellent quantitative, strategic and written communication skills Outstanding organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proven ability to work independently
and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment Knowledge of financial markets, technology, industry and company analysis Advanced user of Excel and MSOffice suite and experience with market databases (e.g., Bloomberg) Passion for the markets, investing and technology
