Barilla International B.V. wants to recruit a Global Retail Discount Account Associate Director to join Global Customers Development Team. The individual will report to the VP Global Customers Retail.

Job Purpose
+ Design and implement strategies to ensure Barilla top lines development (volumes & net sales) and profitable growth (delivery margin) within Discount Channel, consistently with the overall Company’s business plan, by implementing the trade policy agreed with the Superior and contributing to the implementation of plans aimed at developing the presence of the trademarks/categories of reference.
+ Contributing to outline Barilla way of growth strategy within the channel, through the drafting of proposal for international agreements and the direct management of pricing negotiation at int’l desk involving all countries in scope. Consistently with the mandate received by markets and coherently with value growth plans, and with constant market monitoring with relation to international environment trend and perspective.
+ Sharing guidance with local sales teams on discount channel strategic direction on upcoming future value growth opportunities.
+ Actively contributing to the development and implementation of global process and tools aimed at improving customer management know-how and profitability as well as sharing best practices at global level.
Key Accountability
+ Recommend business strategies and goals for global discounters, in line with the macro targets set by the supervisor and the market trend information aimed at maximizing overall top lines development and profitability in the managed desks.
+ Perform price procurement negotiation at int’l desk, advising the strategic approach for annual contracts, ensuring the implementation of established business plans, applying the given specific strategy in order to maximize the return on investments also through the coordination of Barilla sales referents in the different countries.
+ Draw up short and medium-term customer plans linked to global discounters, participating to the identification of alternative scenarios and future development opportunities related to trademarks in different countries, in agreement with the supervisor and with the other local Sales functions involved. Guarantee their constant monitoring through the analysis of trademark trends and competition in terms of product/categories and services offered.
+ Recommend an efficient and effective utilization of the assigned budget, in line with the guidelines given by the supervisor and shared with the markets, monitor the budget and propose corrective actions in the case of deviations, in agreement with the local teams and with the supervisor.
+ Provide an overall int’l perspective/guidance to local sales.
Qualifications
+ 8/10ys of working experience in sales, customer management, trade marketing
+ Consistent successful track record in previous assignments
+ Broad commercial acumen
+ Solid and proved negotiation skills in multi variables contexts and communication skills
+ Analytical and synthesis skills
+ Team and cross functional working capabilities
+ Ability to prioritize and lead cross functional processes/projects
+ Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent experience
+ Fluent in English, plus a second language among German, French and Italian

+ Location: Amsterdam
+ The expected starting date is April 2025 with a local permanent contract
+ Travel: up to 30% of working time for business travel
