Responsibilities:
As the Safety Coordinator, you will:
Be a safety resource and promote a “Safety Always” culture. Assist with the development and continuous improvement of written safety plans, through research, interviews, inspecting and reviewing areas, equipment, processes, and work activities. Make recommendations to effectively resolve problems or issues, by using judgement that is consistent with standards, best practices, policies, plans, procedures and regulation of governing laws. Develop, conduct and maintain Job Hazard Analysis and Hazard Assessments. Develop content requirements for safety training programs and collaborate with appropriate supporting teams to ensure established delivery requirements. Assist in training sessions when and where needed. Conduct and assist in safety compliance audits and inspections, as required. Analyze and compile data and generate reports, verify data and distribute reports, as required. Collaborate with employees at all levels while guiding the incident analysis process as it applies to safety events. Collaborate with cross-functional teams at all levels to accomplish shared project goals. Promote platforms for continual improvement, such as Lean, 5S, CIP, etc. Must integrate these systems to help drive excellence in global safety. Manage the maintenance of training data, inspection data, safety audits, and other related documentation, as required.
