At this pivotal moment, as we accelerate our growth into new and existing market, we are seeking a globally experienced and entrepreneurial-oriented Sales Leader who brings vision, drive growth, and inspires innovation.
The Sales Leader will collaborate with team members, from across our global operation, to build and execute a global sales growth strategy, addressing the needs of respective markets and industries with a customer solution mindset. This person will be accountable for orders and as sold margin along with developing global talent to achieve such goals and working with peers on business strategies in line with such goals. Essential Responsibilities
Provide the mentoring, development and coaching of the global sales team Lead global sales team in new business development; Identify viable target clients and industries Formulate and implement global strategic and tactical sales and marketing plans; oversee all necessary activities to fulfill strategic objectives. Identify and approach potential new clients, convert enquiries from potential clients to sales. Set objectives and sales budgets/forecasts Lead relationship and stakeholder management across global business units and customers. Use knowledge of the power distribution equipment industry to drive growth and promote sales in Powell's Service offerings Work with Senior Leadership team in the development of ideas for new services and new markets for existing services Demonstrate a consultative approach in working with clients to establish requirements and propose solutions, using technology to strengthen offerings Work with sales, operations and estimating teams to cost and develop proposals for large, complex projects Manage global service sales operations; Ensure quotations and tenders are managed in accordance with Powell's practices and procedures Ensure global service sales operations at all levels are following prospect tracking systems and reporting practices, and drive pipeline transparency via routine reviews Drive commercial process improvement activities to improve overall global efficiency and value (customer responsiveness, transparency, and sales personnel accountability) Participate, lead, and present in Executive Management meetings and operation reviews Develop relationships with existing clients and maximize revenue potential. Identify events that will promote the awareness of the company and its Credentials. Oversee production of new marketing collateral and updates to existing materialsMinimum Qualifications
Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in power distribution industry services and solutions Minimum 5 years of experience in sales leadership role Relevant experience working within one or more of the following industries: utility, process (such as oil and gas), or data centerPreferred Qualifications
Experience leading a global team is highly preferred Experience operating within international and multi-cultural markets Bachelor's Degree preferredSkills, Abilities & Other Requirements
Proven experience in growing and mentoring talent within a global sales organization Proven experience in conceptualizing and executing global and regional business plans Comfortable with interactions at all levels of the internal and external stakeholders, including C-SuiteWorking & Environmental Conditions
