Global Sourcing Analyst

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

As a Global Sourcing Analyst, you will be responsible for managing incoming procurement project requests from buyers and global or regional category managers across various regions (e.g., Americas, Europe, Middle East, Asia). You will lead the planning and execution of procurement projects, ensuring collaborator engagement, assessing project requirements, and managing the development and execution of project schedules and timelines. Your responsibilities will include:

Coordinating and managing requests for quotation (RFQs) with suppliers, and directly engaging with regional suppliers. Supporting commercial negotiations and providing recommendations based on a thorough understanding of the indirect organization’s commodity strategies. Facilitating and coordinating communication with collaborators and procurement category managers to gather project requirements. Conducting data collection and analysis of cost/volume data and other parameters using various analytical tools. Planning and managing projects, including tracking and reporting bid progress through project plans, and facilitating project progress calls. Monitoring procurement award implementations and documenting the impact of cost changes. Publishing electronic requests for quotations and conducting online reverse auctions, including designing event rules and selecting appropriate event formats. Ensuring that Emerson’s business rules, policies, and ethics are adhered to throughout the procurement process, including ensuring accurate rate structures and quotes are submitted in conjunction with sourcing events.

Additionally, the Sourcing Analyst may support category development projects, such as identifying and developing new suppliers, contract management, and collaborating with strategic third-party partners to drive cost reductions in areas such as MRO (Manufacturing, Repair, and Operations) management, industrial vending, utilities, travel, telecom audits, and other global or regional programs.

For This Role, You Will Need:

Education:

" in Business, Information Technology, Supply Chain, or a related field or equivalent experience. Additional certifications or advanced education will be considered when determining salary.

Experience:

Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze and review indirect costs. Excellent interpersonal communication skills, including fluency in English (required). Project management experience, with strong problem-solving capabilities. Ability to work and excel in a team environment and interact across all management levels. Experience in the MRO industry and/or supply chain management is highly desirable. Commodity or category management experience in procurement is preferred.

Skills/Knowhow:

Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word, as well as e-Procurement tools (Ariba, Oracle Procurement/Sourcing Applications, etc.). Strong capability in managing multiple programs and customers.

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

Experience in indirect materials and services procurement, particularly in MRO (Manufacturing, Repair, and Operations). Strong working knowledge of supply chain management processes.
