Lowe's 2025 Summer Internship Program offers a challenging, project-based opportunity for undergraduate and graduate students to enhance their understanding of the retail business world through valuable, hands-on experience with a FORTUNE® 50 company. The summer internship program begins with orientation on May 27th and concludes on August 1st. All internships are paid opportunities. Qualified interns will be eligible for Lowe's housing benefit.
Global Sourcing Internship
Lowe’s Global Sourcing teams are responsible for sourcing Private Brand products across the world for our US Lowe’s stores with offices in China, Southeast Asia, India, Mexico, South America, Europe, and the US. The global team is responsible for locating, vetting, and developing international vendors to meet the requirements to produce Lowe’s private branded products. They work collaboratively with our Global Merchandising teams which consists of Sourcing, Private Brand product development, Quality Assurance, Trend & Design, Packaging, and Brand Marketing teams to ensure international vendors deliver on all private brand requirements to meet or exceed our customer expectations.
The Global Sourcing internship will consist of a project-based assignment designed to support the evolution of Private Brand factory sourcing to support the company's manufacturing Country-of-Origin diversification strategy. Through this assignment, the intern will work with Lowe’s global teams to broaden learning & experience about global manufacturing and supply chain risks such as geopolitical, economic, regulatory & compliance, and environmental. And, due to the highly cross-functional nature of the business, the intern will gain significant organizational knowledge and business acumen across the Global Merchandising organization. The intern project will support the development of our 3-to-5-year plan for the evolution of our Sourcing organization, processes, and systems.
Areas of Learning
Collaborate internationally in culturally diverse environments with global team members
Understand Global Merchandising’s highly cross-functional systems, processes, gaps and opportunities
Evaluate vendors’ ability to manufacture products for Lowe’s Private Brands and how capabilities as well as supply chain risks vary by country
Engage with Global Merchandising teams that are executing Lowe’s Country of Origin diversification strategy
Support the development of a 3-to-5-year plan for the evolution of our Sourcing organization, processes, and systems
Education and/or Experience:
Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, International Business, Global Sourcing or related fields from an accredited university with expected graduation dates of December 2025 or May 2026
Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA is required
Proficient in MS Office Programs (specifically Word, Excel, and Power Point)
Strong collaborative, innovative, problem solving, organizational, and communication skills are required
Relevant internship and experience is a plus, as is experience in a leadership position at work or within a campus organization
