Head of Global Sourcing

Your role and responsibilities

• Ensuring cost optimization for projects within product groups/categories for which you are responsible (e.g. considering total costs of ownership)”• Proactive market observation and analysis for best cost country sourcing • Interface with R&D and suppliers for optimizing specifications and driving cost down second source strategy • Leading complex price negotiations and tenders for defined product groups and categories (bundling, benchmarking, e-auctions) • Identify and execute cost driven process improvements along the global supply chain • Analyze, control, and report on cost-saving initiatives• Facilitate cost workshops with internal and external stakeholders and implement findings• Strategic cooperation with global ABB/B&R category teams

Qualifications for the role

\tSuccessful completion of a business or technical degree \tRelevant professional experience of several years in an international procurement environment.\tStrong market knowledge and experience, particularly in the field of industrial manufacturing.\tDeep knowledge on levers and opportunities to achieve best-in-class costs\tConfident handling of MS Office applications, experience with SAP module MM an advantage\tVery good knowledge of German and English\tDiplomatic and assertive personality with strong negotiating skills\tHigh level of self-responsibility and a strong result orientation\tHands-on mentality
