JOB PURPOSE
The Global Stakeholder Engagement, Scientific Communication and Claims Lead works within cross-functional CHC Global category teams and actively contributes to the development of cross functional brand strategies. In that role, their key responsibility is the delivery of high-quality, fair-balanced and accurate scientific communications deliverables, including scientific publications, training- and dissemination materials, as well as generation of insights and claims, based on our Science. It also includes planning and execution of scientific events to make Sanofi CHC an industry leader in stakeholder engagement activities. In order to do so, they interact with worldwide Healthcare Organizations, Healthcare Professionals and Key Opinion Leaders to get their insight and recommendation to cover consumer and patient unmet needs and to improve their quality of life. The basis of these activities lies within the medical strategies at the core brand (and category) level.
The main objectives of the Global Stakeholder Engagement, Scientific Communication and Claims Lead comprise:
Contribute to the development of the CHC Science global core brand strategy.
Be responsible for development and execution of the brand level medical strategy in terms of publication and congress/event planning and execution and dissemination to ensure awareness of key data on CHC products to internal and external stakeholders.
Develop a key external expert network and establish relationships with relevant scientific organizations.
Drive capability building across the organization to ensure excellence in all stages of scientific publication development, stakeholder engagement and claims generation.
KEY RESULTS/ACCOUNTABILITIES
· Globally responsible for strategic Stakeholder Engagement and Scientific Communication planning for global core brands.
· Leads and oversees operational Medical/Scientific Engagement and Scientific Communication, as well as Claims generation activities in close cross-functional and global/local collaboration.
Uses professional & strategic capabilities to identify critical medical insights & use these to contribute to global category decision
· making during publications management, stakeholder engagement and claims generation activities.
· Ensures an external focus, including regular external interactions with key stakeholders and HCPs in collaboration with the Global Medical Leads.
· Is the representative for Stakeholder Engagement, Scientific Communication and Claims in global cross-functional brand teams and deploys assessments/surveys to collect feedback and orients future Scientific Communication and Stakeholder Engagement strategies.
· Leads the development of strategic Scientific Communication and Engagement brand plans for global core brands, in collaboration with Global Medical Leads and local medical representatives, creating best-in-class high impact brand-aligned communication strategies for prioritized existing and new products.
· Explores and executes innovative approaches to maximize the value of the data that is generated by CHC.
· Delivers on medical and Scientific Communication and Engagement commitments to desired outcomes and milestones.
· Ensures Science Communications, Claims Development and Engagement activities are delivered to a consistently high standard with strong scientific and business integrity.
Key activities:
· Executes insights-based and evidence-driven on scientific communication and education opportunities, scientific endorsement and stakeholder management.
· Fosters new medical insights for claims generation, develops new claims derived from/substantiated by scientific publications aligned with strategic goals, and leverages learnings for continuous optimization of these activities.
· Utilizes new techniques and digital technologies to drive better interactions, and novel engagement solutions to make Sanofi a leader in the consumer industry for scientific engagement.
· Collaborates actively within medical and across science to empower and enable the achievement of results.
· Complies with company standards, global and local regulations: good publication practices, good scientific engagement practices, and Sanofi SOPs.
· Provides appropriate scientific input and support for all activities related to Scientific Communication and Stakeholder Engagement and Claims Generation, in collaboration with the Global Medical Leads.
· Provides scientific monitoring oversight activities of vendors during the development of materials and engagement events.
· Interacts with relevant teams (e.g. biostatisticians, Medical Writers, Global Medical Leads, Regulatory Affairs Managers etc.), and Marketing representatives when relevant.
· Forecasts, manages and tracks the budgets and ensures management of contracts, purchase orders, and invoices compliantly.

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
Education
Advanced scientific degree or equivalent required (PhD, MD, PharmD) required.
Required knowledge and/or experience
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry medical or scientific affairs.
Experience in the consumer healthcare sector desirable.
Experience relevant to publication planning and execution throughout product life cycle and/or in customer/stakeholder-facing role required.
Experience analyzing and integrating scientific and consumer data
Ability to handle a large workload under pressure and tight deadlines.
Ability to act as a business partner.
Experience in managing cross-functional teams based in different countries.
Excellent communication skills

Strong ability to build and maintain networks both internally and externally.
