Estimated annual base pay: $83,200(minimum) - $104,00(midpoint) - $124,800(maximum)

Are you ready to make your mark? If you’re a Global Supplier Manager, we have an exciting opportunity for you. Management of global supply base to maximize performance and leverage to positively impact financial performance of all Woodward business groups. Includes all aspects of commercial and contractual management of the assigned suppliers. Key focus is the selection and development of the supply base to match Woodward's future needs, but also includes support of the business group-based purchasing functions in the areas of strategic alignment and critical issue escalation.
What You Will Be Doing
Strategy Development (supply base/market knowledge, business integration, deployment planning, internal alignment, global awareness): Development of supplier level strategies or simple/medium sub-commodity strategies with oversite and review
Analytics (Business Objects and external sources): Apply basic interpretation of data to propose appropriate actions
Business Systems: Basic navigation of appropriate purchasing WISE applications and E-Biz environment
Contract Mgmt/Negotiation (type, development, execution, implementation, and process): Execution of existing standard T&Cs and WISE contracts
Contract Mgmt/Negotiation (type, development, execution, implementation, and process): Ability to understand premise outlined in LTA type agreements
Contract Mgmt/Negotiation (type, development, execution, implementation, and process): Effective participation on negotiations with lead on simple contracts
Compliance: Ability to understand and apply GS standardized tools and processes as provided in BDDS
Strategy Development (supply base/market knowledge, business integration, deployment planning, internal alignment, global awareness): Ability to understand complex commodity strategies and discern application to own work and strategies (flow-down)
Strategy Development (supply base/market knowledge, business integration, deployment planning, internal alignment, global awareness): Demonstrated ability to engage, align and gain support for developed strategies
Strategy Development (supply base/market knowledge, business integration, deployment planning, internal alignment, global awareness): Demonstrated ability to analyze and understand assigned sub-commodity(s) based upon known data relating to industry and market (capacity, raw materials, trends, existing suppliers, etc.)

What We Are Looking For
US – Bachelor's Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) required, advanced business degree preferred
0-2 years purchasing experience required
Purchasing and Project Management certifications (CPM, CPI, Apia, etc.) preferred
Technical Knowledge: Ability to understand process technology within assigned supply base
Project Management: Ability to maintain/upkeep of basic project management tools
Written and Verbal Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate in both written and verbal forms to convey information, data and decisions
Cultural Awareness: Cultural awareness capable of avoiding or creating misunderstandings or confusion
Strategic Thinking: Ability to understand existing strategies
Six Sigma/Lean: Ability to link data to problems to drive solutions - basic understanding of quality system
