We are looking for an exceptional Global Supplier Manager who is an expert in negotiation and supplier relationship management and has a strong desire to learn and grow with an innovative company. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a collaborative international environment navigating multiple technologies, systems, processes, organizations, sites, cultures and practices to support a robust category strategy.
How you will achieve this:
Co-develop, maintain and execute the category strategies for the assigned supplier portfolioAccountable for understanding the full business relations of the supplier, its position in the market relative to others and its strategy, investment themes, capacities and capabilities, and ensuring that key MKS stakeholders are provided with both information and guidance to allow optimum decision making regarding each supplierAccountable for the contract management process of your managed suppliers, consists of initiation, preparation, review, negotiation, execution, monitoring and update.Lead all assessments of your managed suppliers and coordinate relevant, cross functional teams to conduct themManage supplier performance by using scorecard, conduct quarterly and annual supplier performance and business reviewEstablish performance targets per business demand and category plan, as a minimum, consists of quality, delivery & cost objectives.Identify opportunities to create sustainable value beyond incremental performance improvement, providing a step change in the supplier’s ability to positively impact MKS.Responsible for all aspects of the negotiation process, and engages appropriate stakeholders, including the detailed preparation, successful execution and follow-through of negotiations.Apply oversight and monitoring of the projects being executed with your managed suppliers.Support in sourcing activities and new supplier introduction.What will you bring to the team, along with your adaptability is:
A Bachelor of Engineering or Science degree, preferably in Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain, or equivalent experience.Experience with supply chain in one or more of following commodities: machining, sheet metal, welding & fabrication, mechanical equipment, raw material, special process.4+ years of supplier management experience working in a diverse and fast-growing environment.Excellent oral and written communication skills to influence and cooperate cross-functionally with Suppliers, Engineering, Manufacturing, Sourcing & Purchasing, Quality and other internal teams per category strategy.Knowledge of supplier management processes, such as communication plan, supplier assessment, contract management, performance review, supplier engagement and development plan.Flexibility to travel up to 30% of the time.Experienced in working efficiency tool and business systems, as Oracle, SAP, Prority, MS Office, Power BI, MySQL, etc.MKS Instruments, Inc. is an Affirmative Action and Equal Opportunity employer.
