Responsibilities Product Development Support and Quality Approval. To be the Supplier Quality and Development responsible engineer to support the specific global commodity assigned to your responsibility. Responsible to support and execute supplier related deliverables of MSA 3D/SPAP (APQP/PPAP). Review and approve SPAP documentation provided by supplier proving they comply with MSA drawing and specifications. Execute, give recommendation and support MSA 3D deliverables and prepare summary of project to support quality position on project gate review. Participate and conduct supplier reviews of CTQ/DFMEA/PFMEA/Control Plans when applied. Translate MSA quality requirements to suppliers and make sure they are understood and accepted. Influence, recommend and and defend Supplier Quality Position on sourcing supplier selection process. Execute supplier risk assessment and supplier audits. Deploy supplier readiness and provide feedback to project team concerning risk & ability of potential supplier to fulfill our expectations. (travel at supplier may be required for this evaluation). Identify and document business risks related to supplied parts and communicate internally. Provide MSA 3D supplier risk summary to support project gateway approval. Supplier Quality Development To be the SQD responsible for a group of suppliers managing performance and maintaining relationship. Manage the KPI of suppliers under your responsibility, run critical analysis in regular basis and define target suppliers to conduct improvement programs. Perform QMS audits, process risk assessment and compliance risk assessment to the MSA Code of Conduct, MSA Supplier Handbook and Corporate & Social responsibilities. Have a strong personal organization and structured supplier action plan trackers. Maintain supplier related information and records. Recommend and execute supplier risk assessment of process requirements to evaluate suppliers. Continuous Improvement Execute SQD CI projects assigned to you. Work on supplied part continuous improvement projects and teams (VA/VE, Kaizen, VSM). Supports material cost reduction efforts in collaboration with Global Sourcing. Reports actual dollar savings from supplier / supplied parts related continuous improvement. Promote the MSA Operating System and its tools. Define Personal Development & Training and discuss execution with the leadership. Plant Operations Support SQN – Lead Stop Shipment and 8D supplier related resolution. Support and have regular critical supplier review with designated plant location. Support troubleshoot of production and assembly process deficiencies caused by supplied parts and join problem solving activities and definition of resolution action plans Organize regular review at the MSA Plant to verify critical supplier issues and provide feedback of actions assigned to you. Execute machine capacity verification and support supply chain assessment. Qualifications Experience (required): Knowledge and experience with quality and problem-solving tools such as 8D, 5 Whys, Poka-Yoke, Ishikawa Diagrams, SPC, CAPA. Knowledge on IATF PPAP 4th Knowledge and experience in Quality Management Systems requirements- ISO 9001 or similar (IATF 16949, AS 9001). Solid Experience in one or more core manufacturing process technologies: chemicals, thermoplastics, rubbers, metals, electronics or soft goods. Experience of building close working relationships internally and with suppliers Experience in manufacturing, quality or supplier quality related activities. Knowledge of laboratory test standards and methods. Knowledge and experience using APQP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, CTQ, Control Plan, DOE. Able to read engineering drawings and understand and disseminate engineering information to the MSA operations and supply chain base. Knowledge and experience with Lean tools such as: Value Stream Mapping, Takt Time, Capacity Verification, Kaizen & Six Sigma. Knowledge in Excel, PowerPoint, MS Teams and SharePoint. Familiar with supply chain ERP system, preferably SAP. Good written & oral English and German (daily contact with international suppliers and peers). Experience (preferred): CMM measurement equipment. Audit skills – ISO 9001 or equivalent Experience in a global/manufacturing multi-site organization. CAD SolidWorks drawing opening and basic visualization. Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing. Power BI as user. Education (required): Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering Education (preferred): ISO 9001 Auditor Certification Six Sigma Green Belt
