Job DescriptionAre you an experienced engineering professional with a passion for innovation and sustainable water solutions? Veolia Water Technologies and Solutions (Veolia WTS) is seeking a dynamic Global Supply Chain Engineering Team Leader to drive our custom automated equipment design and manufacturing processes.
In this pivotal role, you'll lead a team of talented engineers and technicians, managing capital projects and creating cutting-edge solutions for water treatment products. Your expertise in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, and PLC programming will be instrumental in developing concepts and designs that address global water challenges.
Day-to-Day Duties:
• Generate concepts and designs for custom automated equipment used in water treatment product manufacturing
• Lead and mentor a team of engineers and technicians
• Manage capital projects, ensuring budget, schedule, and performance targets are met
• Collaborate with global colleagues to understand customer needs and develop innovative solutions
• Create partnerships with the Technology function to support new product introduction and technology transfer
• Develop and manage equipment documentation, operating instructions, and maintenance procedures
• Ensure compliance with occupational safety, health, and environmental requirements
• Travel regionally and globally to start-up and commission custom equipment solutions
• Communicate project reviews and status to stakeholders across the organization
Skills and Experience Required:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or industry experience
• Extensive experience in Engineering and equipment design
• Proven track record in people management and leadership
• Fluency in English
• Strong project management skills, including experience with large-scale investment projects
• Familiarity with water treatment technologies (UF, RO, NF membranes)
• Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma principles
• Experience with SAP systems
• Understanding of chemical handling (liquids & solids)
• Familiarity with ATEX and XP equipment and electrical classifications
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to think creatively and innovatively to solve complex problems
