Are you ready to make your mark?  If you’re a Supply Chain Program Manager, we have an exciting opportunity for you. The Program Manager will develop, lead (directly or indirectly) a staff of Global Supply Chain professionals accountable for the planning, directing, and execution of local and/or Global Supply Chain projects that include, but not limited to, PTP, PLC/NPI, PFT, VA/VE, supplier development, etc. The incumbent will utilize his or her full resources and effort to continuously monitor and improve global projects in terms of deliverables of business objectives while ensuring customer satisfaction and QDRC. The incumbent will assure full utilization of the PTP an PLC processes for all projects, monitor and maintain project costs, and utilize Six Sigma methodologies to improve project management tools and systems.

What You Will Be Doing 

Leads program(s) of high complexity and risk; must be able to provide presentations to customers, stakeholders, and Woodward leadership. Provides strategic leadership in team development, fostering a culture of excellence through coaching and mentoring. Responsible for annual resource planning, budgeting, and long-range planning to ensure all projects are successfully completed and transitioned to Production. Also responsible for providing input to or completing performance reviews, development planning, and training. Accountable for scope change management within the program, ensuring projects meet scope, cost, and timing requirements. Collaborate with stakeholders and champions to manage scope changes and ensure project schedules are developed and monitored to meet or exceed expectations.Identify and champion continuous improvement in the PTP or PLC/NPI project management processes, including innovative ideas, solutions, and improvements to projects as well as One Woodward Processes.Directs and contributes to the development of financial platforms and project development costs (hardware, NRE, CTC) for integration into annual profit planning, ongoing forecasts, and long-range planning. Maintains and provides CTC, VA/VE, and productivity metrics and analysis to business group executives as part of project reporting.Collaborates with Engineering, Manufacturing, Sales and Global Supply Chain members to assure high quality, competitively priced supplier designed components. Provides critical input in overall supplier business assessments (quality, technology, delivery, capacity, etc.).Prioritizes programs/projects and resources, assess complexity and resource availability against the workload and capability of the team members, recommend resource allocations and ensure other functions staff the teams accordingly.Directly contributes to establishing short and long-term strategies that achieve the long-range plan of Global Supply Chain and the business groups.

What We Are Looking For 

Bachelor’s degree in arts/sciences (BA/BS) in Program Management or a technical field required.Master’s degree is preferred.5+ years of experience in Purchasing, Sourcing, Engineering, or Project Management, preferably in related industries and markets.5+ years of previous management experience preferred, with strong leadership skills including building effective teams, managing conflict, setting priorities, and clearly defining roles, responsibilities, and objectives.Expert knowledge of project management tools, along with solid financial acumen and a demonstrated ability to manage for profitability.Demonstrated strategic thinking skills with the ability to prepare and communicate technical and strategic issues for management and executive decisions. Capable of driving processes in situations of uncertainty, including corporate strategic planning and execution processes.Ability to travel both domestically and internationally, as required.Supports other groups or segments within Woodward with expertise and manpower to the extent possible when critical situations arise.PMP (Project Management Professional) certification preferred, or an agreed plan to achieve PMP certification as part of the development path.
