Global Travel & Expense Specialist (Temporary)

 

The role involves overseeing all Travel & Expenses (T&E) processing activities to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with JTI policies, while delivering reliable core services that meet SLA requirements with the Entities.

 

As the Global Travel & Expense Specialist (Temporary) in JTI GBS Manila, you will: 

 

Be responsible for processing T&E transactions, including validating expense claims in Concur, addressing issues with authorized persons, and entering claims into SAP. It also involves managing queries, administering cardholder services, and ensuring all tasks are completed according to month-end closing timelines and SLA requirements.

Ensure compliance with Global Operating Guidelines, policies, and procedures by adhering to Corporate and GBS standards, and ensuring Entities do the same. Execute and document JSOX controls as identified in the JSOX GRM, ensuring timely and full compliance to meet audit standards.

Prepare high-quality, accurate, and timely routine reports and analyses, as well as additional reports upon request. Continuously review and improve processes by monitoring performance metrics and discussing potential improvements with the Team Lead

Provide assistance to the Team Lead to meet team objectives and targets, support other T&E Specialists to ensure effective teamwork in document processing and issue resolution, and participate in cross-functional activities and projects within GBS and Corporate as needed.

Demonstrate commitment to service excellence and customer focus by ensuring timely communication and resolution of queries/issues. Provide strong support to Entities by understanding their business and operational needs, and offering expert advice and solutions on T&E-related matters.

 

Requirements: 

 

Education: Degree in accounting/finance or a diploma in any accounting-related field. Experience: Minimum 1 year in an accounting-related role, with experience in accounts and finance shared services. Language Skills: Intermediate level of speaking, writing, and reading in English. Technical Skills: Competent in MS Office applications, Concur, and SAP. Ability to interpret and apply professional accounting standards and principles, such as IFRS. Experience in applying and remediating sound financial governance principles, including internal controls and J-Sox. Proficiency in developing data architecture, practices, and procedures for data maintenance, protection, delivery, and quality. Demonstrates innovative problem-solving skills. Understanding of tax technical positions and ability to translate them into accounting terms, documenting for accounting requirements. Knowledge of interrelationships between various components of JTI enterprise structure, such as company codes, plants, storage locations, and SAP objects like cost centers and profit centers.
