Job Description:
Function as Innovation FST expert:
-Lead and perform structure assessment, optimization and examination of the drawings for wet segment ship type in accordance with the latest BV rules, international regulations.
-Manage JDP/AIP project and optimization project for wet segment ship type.
-Attend and present the project deliverables to external clients with good visual content (presentation), keep good communication with clients.
-Promote technical support and advisory services to shipyards and design institutes.
-Promote and develop JDP/AIP cooperation projects.
-Promote FST capabilities, technical expertise and services.
Function as Global Tanker Segment expert (Technical):
-Support to driving tanker market intelligence and insights that form the basis of M&O’s group commercial initiatives.
-Support the sales efforts of front office business development teams and coordinate efforts on large opportunities for tankers.
-Communicate with DA/DR/CPM for Rules development, upgrade, optimization, other products related to tanker market growth.
-Provide supports to zone S&M team including but not limited to develop value proposition papers, review specifications and provide technical presentations.
-Promotes the brand name of BV (Tanker presentations, and cooperation with Marcom).
Requirements:
-Master Degree in Naval Architecture and/or Ocean Engineering;
-Minimum 8 years’ relevant engineering experience especially for the Oil tankers and Gas Carries.
-Good knowledge on oil tanker or gas carrier.
-Having experience on ship design for general ship performance and hull structural strength, including finite element analysis, experience as project leader for hull structure design is preferred.
-Good understanding of the Classification Rules, International regulations and code.
-Good command of oral and written English
-Good team player and ability to work under pressure and independently Responsible and diligent
