Global Tax Planning Director

Job Responsibilities: The Director of Global Tax Planning is a senior member of the tax team, reporting directly to the VP of Tax.  Although not all inclusive, representative responsibilities and characteristics of the position are:

Manage all aspects of the M&A processes, including due diligence, contract review, funding, tax structuring, negotiations, and step plans (pre- and post-deal) including working with tax and accounting teams to appropriately reflect in accounting books and tax filings, etc.Manage all aspects of internal restructuring projects including step plans, obtaining approvals from stakeholders, working with tax and accounting teams to appropriately reflect in accounting books and tax filings, etc.Manage OECD BEPS (Pillar 1 & 2) readiness and roll out (including Qualified CbCR considerations), working with internal tax stakeholders to advise on current and future state and any associated tax reporting and compliance requirements as well as ETR planning.Provide in-depth analysis of integration and other planning projects (domestic and foreign), focusing on their estimated impact on cash taxes, effective tax rate, book/tax differences, and support of our overall IP strategy.Research and prepare tax memoranda on various complex tax issues, offering well-structured verbal and written advice to tax operations as well as internal, external, and government auditors.Assist with internal processes such as income forecasting and cash management.Promote close collaboration with local and global business stakeholders.Focus on continued development of direct reports to take on more of the day-to-day project management through increasing technical expertise. Foster the ongoing development of a finance and accounting-focused tax organization that is analytically oriented and equipped to meet both internal and external needs and challenges.Provide leadership and technical support aligned with tax compliance, planning, and transfer pricing

Required Experience:

JD or CPA certification.8+ years in International Tax and/or M&A experience in Big 4 or comparable tax experience in a large multinational corporation.Understanding of international aspects of U.S. taxation including knowledge and experience in global tax structuring and strategies, ASC 740 implications and related researchExecutive presence and business acumenStrong project management skills with ability to communicate cross-functionally and with multiple levels of managementFunctions independently - independent decision maker, resourceful and detail-orientedAbility to apply and adapt gained experiences/knowledge to new situations.Strong oral, written, interpersonal, technical communication and presentation skills

Preferred Experience:

An LL.M. in taxation is a plus.Experience with SAP BPC and SAP ERP a plus
