The Customs & Trade Analyst will work closely with the regional teams to provide technical and analytical support for Customs and trade compliance matters in EU, North America, and LATAM, analyze import/export data to identify risks and savings opportunities, drive compliance, and assist our internal and external stakeholders as needed. **Responsibilities** + Assist in determining HTS classification, Export Control Classification and Country of Origin. + Support in managing duty mitigation programs including Inward Processing, Intrastat and Free Trade Agreements + Consolidate and analyze import/export data to identify risks or opportunities for savings + Prepare reports and make recommendations to management + Assist in preparation of training material + Participate in training to stay updated on relevant trade compliance laws & regulations. + Develop corrective action plans based on finding and follow actions through until complete. + Develop KPIs, monitor metrics and performs periodic performance reviews on Customs Brokers. + Perform project management related tasks to enable delivery of team assignments and objectives + Calculate and communicate monthly Customs cost savings reporting + Duty budget and variance management + Performs other analytical tasks as required **Experience** + 5-8 years’ experience in a logistics and trade compliance environment. + Demonstrated success in logistics and trade compliance in a regulated medical device, or pharmaceutical environment + Experience managing internal and external partners to complete complex projects on time + Strong knowledge and experience with end-to-end supply chain and Customs + Working knowledge of regional import/export law, HTS, Free Trade Agreements, etc. + Analytical problem-solver with an eye for detail, who can also effectively communicate how those details fit into the bigger picture to team members and senior leadership across the organization. + Strategic thinking and analytical ability to identify creative solutions to complex problems. + Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (Power Point) – ability to work across all functions and levels in the organization and regions; effectively manage and work with a virtual team; ability to influence without direct control. + Strong change management skills – embraces change; proven change agent with track record of change management successes; able to create and implement change. + Display thorough understanding of competitive benchmarks; ability to continuously challenge processes/procedures based on the latest industry thinking. + Possess a continuous improvement mindset. + Highest levels of personal and professional integrity. + Comfortable with shifting priorities, styles, and work environments in an exciting, evolving role. + Ability to deal with ambiguity and function effectively under pressure. + Good command of written and verbal English and Spanish embecta is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.  We do not unlawfully discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, age, sex, creed, national origin, ancestry, citizenship status, marital or domestic or civil union status, familial status, affectional or sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, genetics, disability, military eligibility or veteran status, or any other protected status.
