This is a very interesting and diverse role which will strengthen our compliance program globally.
As a Global Trade Compliance Specialist, you will be responsible for helping to strengthen our global compliance program by ensuring IFF’s operational procedures are kept in line emerging global regulations that impact IFF’s portfolio. You will be a point of contact enquires related to compliance and provide advice on operational matters and support in resolving issues.
In this role, you will work as part of a global team in ensuring our compliance program is adhered to which includes developing a governance program that tracks global compliance performance across supply chain operations.
What You will do:
Assess Global regulatory changes pertaining to IFF portfolio. Scrutinize regulations and identify and communicate risk to IFF businesses and functions determining operational procedures required to comply with new regulations. Leading role in translating regulations to the operational procedures and governance.
Development, oversight, and published auditing program related to sensitive trade lanes and risk of circumvention.
Develop comprehensive license management applications against IFF policy and procedures.
Design and deliver compliance related training courses. Ensure training records are maintained.
Establish, communicate, and audit record retention and management policy to all impacted global operation team members.
Develop process for destination control and deliver training as part of compliance training program.
Manage the centralised control of DEA controlled materials. Establish governance procedure.
Establish a policy and procedure enforced in all IFF entities handling shipments of samples including regulation, sanction, and screening control.
Implement destination control statement in all systems/applications that produce invoices.
Establish and implement a procedure across all IFF entities to determine non-preferential origin.
Implement clear due diligence procedures in place to monitor risk prone trade lanes for circumventions.
Develop written procedure identifying the functions and persons responsible to monitor changes at EU and UK level and other relevant jurisdictions.
Oversight of classification process to determine if an item subject to EU/UK jurisdiction is controlled under the EU/UK dual-use list.
Develop and monitor classification to national lists of EU Member States.
Review the annual updates of the EU/UK dual-use list and update SAP GTS and other repositories as needed.
Who You are:
You have a bachelor’s degree in Customs (e.g. MCTA), International Trade, Logistics, or equivalent relevant experience.
We will rely on your knowledge of customs and excise procedures in the EU.
You have a strong knowledge of local, international trading, and import and export regulations.
The preferred candidate will have minimum 5 years’ experience in customs operations.
The preferred candidate will have SAP-GTS, or similar system, functionality experience including e-customs, export control, internal and external licensing control requirements.
