The Global Trade Specialist II will be responsible for overseeing all of Singapore’s import and export operations at our APO 3PL-managed distribution hub in Singapore. Acting as the primary point of contact for all import and export activities and processes.
This position is to be based in SG is essential and critical to our IDEXX’s success in the changing of all APO region supply chain that will insert IDEXX SG into all sales in the APO region. The increased complexity of this rapid increase and variety of work will impact all global trade in the region: 1) exports from multiple locations to SG, 2) imports into SG, 3) exports from SG, 4) coordination within region on their imports into APO region, and 5) all the various drop shipments to, from and within the APO region. This will impact shipments into SG and out to APO.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Day-to-Day OperationsOversee Import shipments into SG and ensure smooth flow of products into SG:Review inbound documentation and order set-upWork on SOPs with Customs BrokerBuild KPIs for customs BrokerCollaborate with internal IDEXX (regions, transportation, planning, LOBs, intl shipping teams…etc) to be conduit into SG.Build audit/monitoring program for SG importsReview processes against best practices and any available IDEXX SG programsFocus on real-time solutions, process changes, compliance and efficiencyOversee Export shipments from SG and ensure smooth flow of products from SG:Generate GTS/SAP Commercial Invoice (CI) for SG exports. Troubleshoot any GTS CI issues (changes and additions)Creation and reviewing outbound documentation and order set-upWork on SOPs and KPIs with export declaration filer for export declarationsMaintain export documentation matrix for regionCollaborate with internal IDEXX (regions, transportation, planning, LOBs, regional import teams, Regulatory Affairs and Product Compliance...etc) to be conduit to SG.Build audit/monitoring program for SG exportsReview processes against best practices and any available IDEXX SG programsFocus on real-time solutions, process changes, compliance and efficiencyAwareness of activities that impact SG imports/exports such as: country of origin, valuation, tariff codes, import/export regulations, GST, overages/shortages, recordkeeping, permits, incoterms and documentation...etc.Awareness on IDEXX’s international shipment structures, drop shipments, products, pricing procedures and item categories.Strong usage of SAP and GTS to align with shipments and valuations.Strong knowledge of international trade fundamentals.Awareness of changes in SG and region that would impact imports/exports from SG.Manage project as assigned, includes UAT testing for upcoming GTS to E4H Hanna migrationManage documentation for returns processes to and from SG.Additional TasksBack-up for IDEXX 3PL Coordinator for Dangerous Goods Certification and IATA DG by AirOther duties and responsibilities as assigned.REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
