Job Description

The Global Training Manager will play a pivotal role in creating quality training materials focused on product, features and benefits to enable both internal and external sales resources to deliver exceptional customer service and support. In this cross-functional role, they will coordinate and work with each of the global product lines marketing teams to create and deliver training programs that will enable our team to meet annual plan objectives and drive organic growth. This role can be based in either Glenview, IL or Troy, Ohio. 

 

Primary Responsibilities

Creating detailed training plans for new sales representatives to accelerate learning/expertise of all FEG product lines & equipment including multiple levels of training plans for basic, advanced and refresher training including competitor analysisIn coordination with product lines marketing teams, develop and deliver training for new product launchesDevelop and deliver training for Independent Rep Groups and Dealers that provides them with the tools to sell ITW FEG product lines while balancing our proprietary informationLeader & conductor of ‘Oh Norman’ and other sales training modules including customizing programs as needed for ITW FEG Sales and MarketingResponsible for recommending, establishing certification programs and metricsReports on training effectiveness of all training activities and makes adjustments where needed to improve effectivenessIdentify new training opportunities and work with cross functional teams to create and deliverDevelop and execute a comprehensive knowledge management strategy aligned with Annual Plan and Long-Range Planning objectivesResponsibility for administration of LMS including establishing policies, standards and procedures for content development

 

QualificationsBachelors degree in Training & Development, Education or equivalent experience5+ years in a Training, Implementation or customer success role ideally in a global environmentStrong communication skills with ability to work in cross functional teamsDemonstrated ability to translate strategy into tangible actions items and execute effectivelyExperience managing project teams from inception through planning, execution and completionProven ability to take initiative, work as a team leader and member and build collaborative relationships.Prior experience with food equipment industry preferredResults orientedAbility to travel up to 50% (domestic and internationally)
