TE Connectivity's Distribution & Logistics Teams manage the efficient flow of goods, services and information between point of origin through customer placement in order to meet customer requirements or internal business objectives. They create integrated processes among internal functions such as operations, purchasing and logistics, and outside suppliers. They also focus resources on continuous improvement of the movement of materials through various production processes, and establish key performance metrics and benchmarks relating to supply chain planning/forecasting to measure actual performance against goals on a regular basis.
RESPONSABILITIES:
Develop and maintain a predictable freight cost model that can be used to help accurate forecasting and site decision making.
Creating and overseeing the annual Transportation budget, this includes freight, distribution and duties accounts.
Overseeing the annual freight savings goal for the year and insuring it is met through monitoring of the various freight savings projects from all team members in the logistics team.
Gather data and provide freight reports to track inbound and outbound standard and premium spend by region, site, carrier, lane and service type to give the team the ability to find opportunities to improve freight costs.
Audit and resolve billing discrepancies. Interact with TE’s 3rd party freight payment company to ensure proper billing, on time payment and accurate cost reporting. Approve freight invoices via an online process.
Understand internal cost centers/GL accounts and with support from TE Finance maintain rules for allocation of Transportation costs.
Responsible for internal communication, meetings and presentations related to Transportation spend, key performance metrics, and Logistics savings project updates and communication with site and regional controllers and other department regional leads
Support on specific freight costing projects led by sales, customer service, engineering, marketing, supply chain, etc.

Budgeting Forecasting experience.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Advanced knowledge on analytics and administrative tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access).
Knowledge of SAP.
Proven ability to work in teams with strong initiative to win.
Excellent oral and written communication and influential skills (English and Spanish).
Motivated, self driven, independent, will have to work on different time zones with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with multiple departments utilizing excellent interpersonal skills.

Education: BS/BA degree required
