Location: Applications are welcome from any country/State where World Vision International is registered to operate. This role interacts in a regular basis with colleagues based in the Southwestern region of the United States so preferred applicants will be those in locations that can overlap ± 3 to 4 hours with this time zone requiring flexibility in working hours over a range of other time zones [as required], and to do so effectively.

JOB PURPOSE
World Vision is one of the world’s largest INGOs operating in nearly 100 countries, delivering humanitarian aid to populations in some of the most challenging and complex environments. A significant part of the World Vision’s workforce is required to travel, either domestically or internationally, in order for the organization to reach the world’s most vulnerable children. To protect our travelling population World Vision operates an integrated travel management framework that includes general travel management, insurance, staff benefits and travel risk management.
Reporting to the Sr. Administrative Director, Global Finance & Supply Chain, the Global Travel Manager will plan, deliver and implement World Vision’s corporate travel policy while overseeing the company’s day-to-day business travel activities.
Tasks include developing and implementing corporate travel strategies, coordinating sourcing activities, gaining buy-in throughout the organization, tracking program consolidation and activity, and ensuring that the company’s objectives are integrated into the travel program. This position will have a thorough understanding of multiple segments of the corporate travel industry and may conduct training or leadership activities as necessary.
SCOPE / DISTRUBUTION OF RESPONSABILITES
35% - Travel Strategy Development & Programme Management:
Collaborate with travel stakeholders to develop travel strategies and polices aligned with key organizational travel principles and goals. Apply a continuous improvement approach in the ongoing review of organizational travel policies and standards (including management policy, travel & expense, corporate credit card usage).Collaborate with integrated travel group team members and stakeholders to develop a holistic travel management framework and operational process. Traveler satisfaction surveys and metrics.15% - Traveler training, education and communication:
Develop ongoing communications plan across multiple platforms to answer common traveler questions, provide pre-trip and during-trip information, including both real time “pull” and “push” options and FAQ’s for common traveler questions.Collaborate with Travel Risk Manager in SSR to develop travel safety messaging and training.Draft business cases/annual travel reports highlighting benefits of global platform for visibility and transparency and assistance.Maintain master list of preferred air/ hotel/ ground options and communicate with EA’s to leverage “preferred” vendors for greater organizational benefits.15% - Vendor Management:
Manage, expand and augment negotiated agreements to drive savings and enhance traveler serviceManage strategic sourcing events in partnership with Procurement team.Manage relationships with suppliers, including any perks accounts and organizational benefits/ allocationsDrive performance to preferred suppliers (air/ hotel/ground)Represent the organization at local and regional business travel industry events as required.15% - Collaborate for impact:
Actively participate in the Integrated Travel cross-functional team.Lead/manage the Global Travel work groupAdvise the Meetings/Events coordinator in venue selection for global events (i.e., Triennial, GLS, etc.).10% - Travel analytics and reporting (including sustainability):
Prepare and distribute travel activity reports to increase engagement/transparency with implemented offices/departments.With SSR, incorporate safety-related metrics, tracking and reporting on travelers’ exposure and experience in high-risk countries/areas.Regularly seek effective ways to highlight WV sustainability messaging to travelers.5% - Travel Technology and Programme innovation:
Manage and maintain TMC platform enhancements for better performance and visibilityExplore use of AI/Chatbots and embedded pop-ups to provide traveler with greater insights into travel options, security and requirements.Stay informed about industry trends, new travel technology and changes in travel regulations and policiesREQUIRED PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, TRAINING, LICENSE, REGISTRATION, AND /OR CERTIFICATION:
Bachelor's degree in a related field (Travel and Tourism, Business ManagementHospitality Management, International Business, Marketing).Prior experience working as a travel / booking agent or managing an agent team.7+ years’ experience with corporate travel management, preferably with global responsibility.Proven experience navigating a complex organization. Knowledge of international travel regulations, customs and currencies. The ability to build and maintain positive relationships with vendors of direct travel (existing relationships may be advantageous). Ability to think outside the box and adapt to any emergency or change. Track record of excellent customer service, communication and inter-personal skills.Attention to detail, and understanding of environmental impact and measurement of travel, including sustainable mitigations.PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Highly proficient written and verbal communication in English. Additional language skills desirable, but not required - French, Spanish or Portuguese.Travel and/or Work Environment Requirement:
Capacity to work from home, requiring flexibility in working hours over a range of time zones, and to do so effectively. Ability to juggle multiple priorities for travellers located in various locations.Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 10% of the time.Compensation:
For positions filled in the United States, the typical salary range for this role is $90,080 to $120,000 USD. Ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, job level, internal equity and budget. Exact salary offers will be determined by factors such as the candidate's skills, qualifications, experience and geographic location.
