The Role\: Global Upstream Planner (background in Battery business)

Overview\: As a Global Upstream Planner you will be responsible for supporting global & critical suppliers. For the suppliers under your scope, you will be\:

·  Accountable for providing and publish forecasts & POs for manufacturers (time horizon 3 to 18 months)

·  Accountable for working with the manufacturer to secure the capacity and allocation, detecting the main gap and formalizing actions to close the gaps (double source, strategic stock for instance) This will have a positive impact on supply chain resilience

·  Accountable with the SIOP team for component allocation in case of missing capacity

·  Accountable for continuous improvement and digitization of the upstream supply chain

·  Close collaboration with the Procurement team to understand the market and capacity situation and constraints

What will you do?

·  Accountable for providing and publishing forecasts for a list of suppliers (time horizon 3 to 18 months)

o  Full demand, aligned with BU/LoB and NPI/transfer plans

o  Cycle-to-cycle comparison

·  Ensure supplier capacity & commitment

o  Detect the main gap

o  Get formal commitment from the supplier (PO & forecast acknowledgment)

o  Manage and escalate the main capacity gap and act on demand shaping if needed

o  Provide net demand file in case of capacity gap (and allocation by plant & region)

o  Control execution of quota and detect main business risk (to be escalated to Procurement)

o  Ensure long-term PO placed according to validated forecasts

o  Formalize action to cover capacity risk as well as business risk (dual sourcing, stock etc.)

o  Get full visibility on critical inventory & capacity (up to T2 and T3), if any critical raw materials

·  Improve supply chain resilience

o  Strategic stock, double sourcing process

·  Continuous improvement & digitization

o  Lead time, MOQ & incoterm, Optiflow

o  Formalize & secure compliance of LTC (Logistics Terms & Conditions)

o  Connect and engage suppliers on SupplyOn

o  Monitor supplier performance on delivery, cash, premiums (expedites)

·  Share status with upper management

o  Summarize and simplify complex situations and present to management and drive decisions

 

Who would be successful?

·  A graduate of an Industrial Engineering or any related engineering course

·  Good background in Planning both for Demand & Supply and Logistics

·  Working with global partners

·  Ability to manage upper management expectations and present accordingly

·  Having worked in the Batteries commodity business will be an advantage

·  Travel requirements, visitation with suppliers (10% of the time)

·  Work Location\: Rosario, Cavite

·  Working arrangements\: Flexible working hours (willing to take late-night calls)
