The Global Warranty Operations (GWO) Policy Specialist (US) is responsible for handling various warranty and policy, senior management, and communication requests.  The Specialist is also responsible for being the lead of GWO US Policy Analyst and assisting in special projects as needed.  The position interfaces with other global Policy Leads, NA Quality, Marketing, Product Development, Automotive Safety, Office of the General Counsel, and other departments internal and external to Service Engineering Operations (SEO).

•    4-year Bachelor’s Degree 
•    Technical automotive background
•    Dealer contact or dealer employment experience
•    Excellent verbal, presentation, and written communication skills
•    MS Word, WebEx, and Excel experience
•    Prompt response to ad hoc requests as needed by management
•    Proactively responsive to a fast-paced business environment
•    Strong written and verbal communications
•    Manage meeting schedule with global partners in various time zones
 

•    Review warranty policy requests for Warranty & Policy Manual update approvals
•    Prepare US Warranty Guides updates, approvals, and coordinate publications
•    Manage warranty coverage updates submitted for inclusion in the Parts Coverage Directory (PCD) tool
•    Manage emissions coverage requests for inclusion in the Parts Coverage Directory tool and coordinate with One Warranty System (OWS) team to update OWS tables and new model Warranty Guides
•    Review and approve TSB/SSM content for accurate warranty information prior to publishing
•    Upon approval of warranty policies, ensure dealer/field warranty-related publications are developed and distributed as required
•    Provide assistance to the CRC, field personnel, and dealers regarding warranty policy requests
•    Assist senior management with requests and participate in departmental project development
•    Occasionally attend company functions
•    Occasionally assist in warranty start date and cancelation requests
