The Systems Engineering Directorate is the central focus for Mission Systems Integration activities within Raytheon, responsible for defining customer needs, functional and product architecture, requirements definition and decomposition, Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), system performance, and System Security Engineering (SSE).

The Radar Systems (RS) Department is seeking a Chief Engineer to support GLOBUS Program operating out of Woburn, MA.

Responsibilities to anticipate:

The GLOBUS International CE provides the technical oversight for the current contract and for all technical inquiries/items on remaining prior Contract

Manage critical customer relationship with GLOBUS Lead Engineer counterpart, USG SEDA Lead, and Lead international partner technicians/SMEs

Provide technical coordination across the engineering teams, PMO and the customer

Create and implement strategy for long term sustainment and modernization of exquisite, one of a kind Raytheon built radar. This includes within the scope of the current contract, as well as shaping customer for future growth/ add on scope such as tech refresh

Ensure program execution by leading internal technical team through any and all pop up issues/challenges

Guide and direct other technical team leads to achieve program and technical success

Provide engineering authority to all decisions impacting product integrity, system performance, and system functionality

Coordinate, write, and deliver technical presentations to both internal and external customers

Qualifications You Must Have:

Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM). An advanced degree in a related field may be substituted for additional years of experience as follows: A Master’s Degree in a related field can account for 2 years of experience as required for this position. A Ph.D. can account for 5 years of experience as required for this position.

Minimum of 12 years of experience in related Systems Engineering or Multi-Disciplined Engineering

Proven Experience effectively leading multidisciplinary teams of systems engineering professionals

Experience leading teams and IPT’s, using tools and metrics in managing activities, and interfacing with senior program and functional management

Active DoD Secret security clearance

Qualifications We Value:

Ability to travel to support the program needs as necessary

Self-starter – proactive in determining goals and objectives and pursuing the necessary course of action

Experience as a Lead Systems Engineer or Chief Engineer on previous programs

Experience with MS Windows operating system and MS Office products

Experience in preparing customer and/or management level briefings

Excellent communication skills with prior experience presenting to customers and senior leadership

Experience in schedule development, action item management, requirement change management and overall development and progress metrics

Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience

Experience working with external customers, USG or FMS partners

EVMS Certified (or equivalent)

Proposal support experience including writing Basis of Estimates (BOEs)

Knowledge navigating the organization and working with stakeholders across the company to develop solutions to key program challenges

Import/ Export knowledge and/or experience

Technical leadership and guidance of multi-disciplined teams in the design and development of RF modules and subsystems

Execution of testing for subsystems in various laboratory or field environments

Interfacing with supplier/vendors providing module requirements/specification to support subsystem designs

The salary range for this role is 147,000 USD - 295,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
