We are looking for a General Manager, Strategic Initiatives to join our Americas Growth and Development team. Our team consist of market development, project development and strategy execution throughout the Americas. As a General Manager, Strategic initiatives for Americas Energy Business you will lead a team dedicated to identify, manage and implement our strategic priorities and use analytics to strengthen our value proposition. The ultimate goal of this position is to facilitate continuous development of a robust cascade of Energy Business Strategy, co-create priorities with Business Units, find areas of growth and facilitate and lead a project management office for the chosen priorities. You will be a member of the Management Team for Growth and Development, Americas Energy Business, reporting to Sanna Silander. The preferred location is in USA.

 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Close collaboration with Business Units, Global functions and other areas to align on strategic priorities and provide market input/market intelligence Drive implementation of Energy Business strategy within Americas as per the global plan. Create systematic way of working to feed market/Customer insights to business units. Participate in Global strategy projects as agreed with Strategy and Business Development function. Lead local AREA strategic initiatives Organize & facilitate strategy sessions within the AREA to develop and improve the country plans, regional plans and AREA level plans. Measure & report the level of understanding and implementation of the strategy in the organization Annual larger reviews Quarterly progress reviews Participate in communicating the strategy to the organization Lead the utilization of Deal Room in the AREA Use data as power to identify growth opportunities Lead a Team of experts

Have a proven track record of strategic and innovative mindset. Have a rigorous understanding of Energy Business and ability to translate that to tangible actions to capture growth potential in our sales activities and operations. Have an uncompromised customer service mindset and willingness to go the extra mile for our customers are essential. Are able to take smart risks and make tough decisions when needed. Are an inspiring change and people leader with an ability to engage others. Have experience in Sales, development projects and strategy work.

An ideal candidate:  

Has relevant education, such as B.Sc. or M.Sc. Engineering /Business similar   Has a strong commercial & contractual understanding, proven track record of leading commercial business success   Has coaching skills to stretch the team performance   Has experience from the Energy Business market Familiarity with data analytics, coding, or machine learning algorithms can be beneficial, though previous expertise is not a prerequisite. Is a recognised and respected leader with great ability to build high performing teams based on trust.  Is able to create clarity on direction and vision  Inspires people to take action towards the future goals  Has a business and goal-oriented mind-set  Drives results with excellent planning and execution skills
