Job Description
We are looking for a talented and experienced GNC Flight Software Verification Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will plan, execute, and analyze software tests to validate the GNCP Flight Software for the Orion spacecraft. This role involves collaborating with engineering teams to ensure proper integration and functionality of software with GNCP subsystems, using Python to automate test scripts and support software validation efforts, and documenting test plans, results, and any identified issues.
ResponsibilitiesPlan, execute, and analyze software tests to validate the GNCP Flight Software for the Orion spacecraft.Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure proper integration and functionality of software with GNCP subsystems.Use Python to automate test scripts and support software validation efforts.Document test plans, results, and any identified issues, providing feedback to development teams.Support verification and validation activities for mission-critical software, ensuring compliance with performance and safety requirements.Essential SkillsExperience in software testing, software verification, and software development.Proficiency in Python for software testing and development.At least 3 years of experience as a GNC Engineer.Aerospace or Space industryAdditional Skills & QualificationsKnowledge and experience with Matlab/Simulink.Experience with C++.Understanding of guidance, navigation, and controls (GNC).Computer Engineering/Science degrees preferredWork Environment
This position can be performed mostly remotely with some onsite need in Colorado, Alabama, or Houston. You will be working with the Orion spacecraft team.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $55.00 - $75.00/hr.
