Primary objective of the job:

As a NOC Engineer, you will perform surveillance and diagnostics on all Digicel CALA networks, acting as first line of defense against any operational or performance issue on the network.

 

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Monitor the network and other related platform to proactively identify issues, resolve same and or escalate if needed Maintain Service Level Agreement (SLA) in order to achieve 99.99 network availability Inform the business, stakeholders and peers about network performance and service availability by way of an establish means of communication Perform surveillance and proactive maintenance to prevent undue network outages Inform the business, stakeholders and peers about network performance and service availability by way of an establish means of communication Maintains quality of service by enforcing quality and industry standards, analyzing, and resolving network quality and customer service problems

Academic Qualifications and Experience Required:

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics/Telecommunication/IT Engineering More than 3 years’ experience in telecom industry, in Network Operation Management environment Spanish required as a second language 

 

 Functional Skills:

Must understand the concepts of Incident, Problem and Change Management in a telecom environment and their associated OLA’s and SLA’s Thorough understanding of how different teams in telecom operations interact with each other Must be willing to work in rotating morning, evening and night shifts Must be proficient in all ticketing and network management or performance tools Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Fluent in English language, both oral and written Must be a team player Willing to work under pressure, in a fast paced and challenging environment
