GNSS Quality Assurance Engineer

As a GNSS Quality Assurance Engineer (m/f/d) at Trimble, you will work with Trimble GNSS receivers and technologies, ensuring their positioning accuracy and performance meet specified requirements. You will collaborate with engineering teams from different business sectors, including surveying, construction, agriculture and automotive, and use Trimble products targeted for these areas in your daily work. To achieve this, you will use existing testing infrastructure and work on its further development and automatization. Your role will be crucial in ensuring the quality and accuracy of our GNSS receivers and applications, which are integral to the success of our products and services.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive testing of Trimble GNSS receivers across various sectors (surveying, construction, agriculture, automotive, OEM), with a primary focus on the accuracy and performance of the GNSS positioning engine.

Analyze test data and generate plots, statistics, and reports to assess GNSS receiver performance.

Develop monitoring solutions to automate the testing processes.

Work with Trimble proprietary tools, designed for validation of GNSS data and receivers performance.

Troubleshoot, diagnose and report issues.

Work closely with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers, software developers, and product managers.

Qualifications:

2+ years of experience in precise GNSS positioning in the industry or at the university.

Proven experience in surveying is a strong plus.

Knowledge of Trimble and third party products dedicated to the GNSS positioning market.

Familiarity with Trimble of third party software used in Real Time Networks is a strong plus.

Basic knowledge in programming with Python or similar scripting language.

Basic knowledge of databases and monitoring tools e.g. Grafana.

Basic knowledge of Linux OS, including networking configuration and file transfer protocols.

Basic knowledge of network protocols and ability to configure and troubleshoot network connections in various operating systems is a plus.

Ability to work effectively as part of an engineering team with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
