Go to Market Commercialization Director

This role has the unique opportunity to help meaningfully influence Highmark’s future financial position. The Go To Market Commercialization Director will play an integral role in bringing new capabilities to market and generating new revenue streams for Highmark. The goal of commercialization is to drive growth for Highmark, while building relationships with other health plans from across the country. This role will manage a small team to support the commercialization of health plan capabilities. This role will work with stakeholders and various functional owners from across the enterprise to evaluate and execute upon commercialization opportunities. 

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform management responsibilities to include, but are not limited to: involved in hiring and termination decisions, coaching and development, rewards and recognition, performance management and staff productivity.  Plan, organize, staff, direct and control the day-to-day operations of the department; develop and implement policies and programs as necessary; may have budgetary responsibility and authority.

Partner with different areas of the business to identify capabilities which can be commercialized. Work across the organization to package existing internal capabilities for sale to external parties, including Blues plans, TPA, and regional plans.

Commercialization activities include marketing, creating sales collateral, working with stakeholder establish pricing and costs, and more.

Work with Sales and account management team to help refine products and value stories to help with sales efforts.

Participate in the creation and communication of the product vision, strategy, and roadmap.

Create and drive governance processes for commercialization activities for the organization. Help create and improve commercialization processes and governance mechanisms to help deliver better products to market in less time.

Education

Required

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, computer science or related field

Substitution

6 years proven and extensive product management experience in lieu of Bachelor's Degree

Master’s degree in technology, marketing, business or related field

Minimum

5 years in product management or program management with emphasis on strategic projects with a track record of success3 years of sales, technology or Business development experience
