Job Summary
To provide for the Safety, Security, Health and Environment (SSHE) needs of ANZ workers and the relevant business units. This includes providing SSHE leadership and practical support and driving SSHE improvement programs across Go-To-Market (GTM) operations in ANZ.
Role Responsibilities:
SSHE System Management:
Maintain the SSHE system to ensure compliance with company and relevant industry and legislative requirements.
Develop, track and assist in the completion of SSHE Improvement Plans.
Continuous Improvement:
Drive continuous improvement to the physical environment and safety culture.
Develop and schedule SSHE training programs based on identified needs.
Leadership and Consultation:
Lead consultation structures and committees
Facilitate and lead working groups to focus on SSHE programs.
Communication and Coordination:
Coordinate SSHE communications, including team briefs.
Coordinate and oversee the implementation of all SSHE programs and processes as they relate to GTM.
Implement and deploy appropriate SSHE committees and ensure their effectiveness.
Operational Control:
Ensure ANZ and Unilever operational control standards are developed and adhered to.
Oversee and/or lead emergency preparedness & response and security programs.
SSHE Management Activities:
Manage day-to-day SSHE activities such as: risk assessments, incident investigations, action management and event reporting.
Complete and encourage utilisation of the safety behavioural observations (SBO’s) program, inspections and coordinate the overall monitoring program.
Audits and Compliance:
Conduct required SSHE audits to meet compliance, including identifying and addressing deficiencies and non-compliance.
Injured Workers and Return-To-Work (RTW) Support:
Incident investigations and root cause analysis are undertaken for SSHE events in GTM areas.
Liaise with internal and/or external stakeholders to manage communications with injured worker/s.
Provide support to the workers compensation team with creation of Return-To-Work Programs, which may include, establishing and maintaining communications with injured worker/s and their manager to effectively manage their rehabilitation.
Reporting and Analysis:
Complete SSHE reporting and conduct data analysis to inform SSHE strategy
Provide support, advice and coaching to all management and leadership teams in effective SSHE management practices.
What you will need to succeed
Experiences & Qualifications
Required:
3-5 yrs Relevant knowledge gained through on-the-job learning, especially in the areas of SSHE systems management
Cert IV in OH&S or higher qualification in a related field
Strong working knowledge of ANZ WHS legislation
Excellent computer and literacy skills
Excellent communication skills
Desired:
Able to work with a high degree of autonomy
Critically analyse SSHE data to determine trends and create action plans from these
Conducting/leading incident investigations and emergency/security management
Understanding of the Return-To-Work process
Experience in Business Operations, Logistics and Security programs
Proven track record of analytical thinking and project management
Understanding of environmental operations/zero harm to planet principles
Knowledge in human behaviour and work process associated with unplanned event management
Excellent knowledge of SHE standards. Working knowledge using SHE IT tools and how those tools integrate into other functional work processes
Influencing skills and international business/cultural sensitivity
Good observation and auditing skills
Able to influence strategic deliverables in a widely matrixed organization
Able to manage multiple requests and priorities simultaneously
Train and develop stakeholders
Integrating SSHE standards and tools.
