Assistant Soccer coaches are responsible for the overall development and advancement of a competitive athletic program while demonstrating high moral and ethical standards and positive sportsmanship.
Duties:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
The Goal Keeper Coach assists the Men’s Soccer Coach in the College Athletic Department, under the supervision of the Athletic Director and Head Soccer Coach. The Goal Keeper Coach is expected to become knowledgeable of all The United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) soccer rules, including student-athlete eligibility requirements. The Goal Keeper coach must travel with the team unless alternate arrangements have been approved by the Athletic Director and Head Coach. As representatives of the College, all coaches and student-athletes must conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times. It is the responsibility of the Coach to supervise student-athletes while traveling, to ensure their safety . Flexible hours for practicing and recruiting will be needed. Assisting with scheduling, organizing, supervising, and conducting all practices and games. The Goal Keeper Coach may be required to drive vans to soccer games. Other duties may be assigned by the Head Coach and Athletic Director.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
Required: Soccer coaching experience at the high school level or above.
Desired: Soccer coaching experience at the college level
Desired: Familiar with the Rochester area high schools and club teams
First aid/CPR certification is a plus.
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, planning and leadership skills required.
Must be able to serve as a positive role model for young adults.
Familiarity with USCAA rules and regulations is a plus.
Required: Clean driving record and a valid Driver License.
Hours vary from day, evening, weekends, holidays to best fit the needs of the team.
Salary
$2,000 annual stipend
