Goldman Sachs’ Private Credit team sits on the private side of the Asset Management Division. Private Credit is one of the world's largest alternative credit investing platforms with investment professionals based in the US, Europe, Asia and Australia. Private Credit originates investments and invests third-party capital across senior secured loans, mezzanine/unsecured debt, preferred equity and opportunistic credit supporting buyouts led by Private Equity sponsors. The Private Credit team in Europe is a top tier platform in the European direct lending market and is consistently involved in the largest direct lending transactions.
Vice presidents in Private Credit work as part of small deal teams responsible for identifying, structuring, executing and monitoring relevant investments. Vice Presidents are involved in driving deal origination and leading due diligence processes for new investments. The broad range of transaction structures and sectors in which we invest are giving Vice Presidents a broad range of exposure and ample opportunities to develop their investment acumen. Executive Directors are involved in a wide range of high-profile transactions across the capital structure and in a variety of industries in support of transactions that include leveraged buy-outs, take privates, add-on acquisitions and recapitalizations, mostly for Private Equity backed businesses
Responsibilities
Leading all aspects of due diligence and business analysis to develop and refine investment thesesDriving key work streams in structuring, negotiating and documenting investmentsCommunicating and defending investment theses to internal stakeholders and committees, including relevant Investment CommitteesActively monitoring existing investments in the portfolioBuilding relationships with sponsors, management teams and internal GS stakeholders
Qualifications
Investment Banking and Private Credit/Direct Lending candidate with 6 to 8 years of experienceStrong quantitative, analytical and problem-solving skills with a clear view to form independent judgmentPassion for investing with specific interest in credit Excellent verbal and written communication skillsFlexible and creative mindset; ability to analyze a variety of industries and businessesProven project leadership and strong interpersonal skillsAbility to foster and harness relationships with a wide variety of people (internally and externally)French native speaker
