JOB OVERVIEW:
The Grounds Maintenance Supervisor, under the supervision of the golf course superintendent , is responsible for the golf course irrigation system along with satellite and pump station operation. The position is responsible for chemical applications on golf course properties including but not limited to golf course greens, tees and fairways.

Strong work ethic, self-motivated, high attention to detail. Ability to operate trucks and light motorized equipment. Knowledge of and compliance with local State and Federal guidelines when applying chemical to the property. Working knowledge of tools, methods, and materials used in grounds construction, landscape maintenance and building maintenance and improvement. Some knowledge of agronomy, turf grass science and the rules of golf. Ability to follow oral and written instructions. Ability to read, understand and keep current with chemical labels and MSDS standards. Ability to carry out any assigned tasks to a high standard and in a timely and efficient manner, while ensuring the safe use of equipment and materials.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Assist the managers with monitoring of daily water requirements, maintaining the central irrigation control system and 7 pressure reducing valves. Be highly involved with record keeping and data collection on the property regarding moisture management, and with pesticide usage. Maintains a clean and organized irrigation and pesticide storage area, and tracks inventory of all irrigation and chemical stored on property. Waters greens, tees and fairways. Operates irrigation heads in dry areas need additional water. Adjusts and repair malfunctioned irrigation heads and valves. Completes requests for chemical, irrigation and safety supplies. Repairs the irrigation system, pipes, and irrigation heads as needed. Provides Supervision with technical analysis of agronomics and course playability, and how they relate to the current state of the irrigation system. Operates various golf course related equipment in a safe manor. Communicates all system performance irregularities to the Superintendent.
SECONDARY JOB FUNCTIONS:
Maintain effective communication and cooperation with all other departments. Maintain positive interactions with club members and guests, providing a high level of customer service. Performs any and all duties as assigned by the Golf Course Superintendent or other members of the senior management team, as deemed appropriate.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to exert well-paced ability to reach different outlets and other departments of the Resort on a timely basis. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity.
