Golf Pride - Junior Design Engineer
Golf Pride® Grips, #1 golf grip brand worldwide, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our fast-paced team, specializing in the design and development of golf grips. This position will be located at our Pinehurst, NC facility. Relocation benefits will be provided within the United States only. The Junior Design Engineer will be responsible for supporting and leading various tasks within the cycle of new product development, as well as contributing to continuous improvement efforts within our Design COE (Center of Excellence). The Design COE is a global team with members in three different locations around the world and this role will have a direct working relationship with them. You will also work closely with cross-functional teams ranging from Industrial Design to Project Engineering to Manufacturing/Production. ​ The expected annual salary range for this role is $56250.0 - $82500.0 a year. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. **What you’ll do:** • Assist in the design and development of golf grips, focusing on ergonomics and performance. • Create detailed 3D models and technical drawings using multiple CAD software packages. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring advanced concepts through full design cycle. • Participate in prototype building and testing to make necessary design adjustments. • Utilize a wide range of prototyping capabilities internal and external to the business. • Prepare and maintain documentation for design processes and modifications. • Increase our speed, reliability, and efficiency of our new product development efforts. • Support senior engineers in project planning and execution for Golf Pride and OEM customers like TaylorMade, Callaway, PING, etc. • Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in golf grip design. **Qualifications:** **Required (Basic) Qualifications:** • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution. • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship, now or in the future. **Preferred Qualifications:** • Minimum of three (3) months of internship or co-op experience in product design, especially sports equipment. • Knowledge of Rhinoceros 3D CAD software. • Familiarity with simulation software (e.g., ANSYS, MATLAB). • Baseline knowledge of rubber injection and/or compression molding processes. • International work experience. **Skills:** • A communicator – you get information across to various teams/departments in a clear and effective manner. • A collaborator – you love working with teams around the world and creating a shared purpose and solution. • A planner– you think through a problem from all angles and then diligently plan the avenues of approach. • A hard-worker – you are able to put your head down and get things done in a timely manner. • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD). • Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work. • Basic understanding of mechanical design principles and manufacturing processes. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. \#LI-CB3 We are committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities for all job applicants and employees.
