As a Governance Manager you will have the opportunity to coordinate and ensure compliance with all regulations, with support from the Tax, Legal, Labor, Customs, Finance among other teams where required. Generate and deliver regulations information in a complete, correct, comprehensive, reliable, and timely manner in accordance with the applicable regulatory framework to execute effective decisions. Review, create and implement an effective strategical compliance policy for the company as required due to attention to all mandatory new regulations.

 

YOUR TASKS WILL BE

Coordinate with all internal functional areas, changes to the regulations (laws/decrees/provision, etc.) to proactively communicate and implement those changes (Coordinate a Compliance Regulatory Committee). Establish compliance monitoring tools and follow up processes to help the business to proactively identify potential regulations compliance issues/risks and work with related stakeholders to address the potential compliance risks in a timely and through manner. Work with the Leadership Teams as well as related stakeholders to conduct risk assessment based in the regulations, develop compliance program strategy, goals and objectives that are risk based and align with business and global strategy, goals and objectives. Establish a Compliance Regulatory Committee to ensure ongoing review of compliance related initiatives and risk mitigation actions including achieving compliance goals Involvement in the company's planning and compliance activities to ensure that all mandatory obligations are met. Coordination and establishment of strategic plans to ensure and monitor compliance with regulations. Ensure the business complies with all federal, state and municipality regulations. Ensure that there are appropriate internal controls over mandatory regulations, including new requirements published within different pronouncements. Support new projects in Mexico to identify strategies to minimize financial impact, provide insights to achieve the planned objectives ensuring compliance.

 

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL NEED

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related. Corporate authority to elevate and handle all regulations matters across all plant and central functions Excellent recordkeeping, as well as written and verbal communication skills. Excellent leadership, proactiveness and team player. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a must. 5-10 years of experience working in a tax, accounting, finance, audit, or similar and regulations related position, in-house experience in a multinational organization; and/or experience in a top tier firm.
