ChristianaCare is searching for a Government Affairs & Advocacy Engagement Specialist to be responsible for supporting ChristianaCare’s strategic advocacy and community engagement priorities while building strong working relationships with community members and grassroots coalitions. This position will issue advocates and external coalition partners and support the development of talking points, messaging platforms and advocacy toolkits to advance ChristianaCare’s advocacy agenda and community engagement priorities.
Responsibilities Include
Developing and maintaining relationships with defined groups of external stakeholders and advocates in the health care, business, government, and non-profit sectors.
Supporting scheduling, logistical coordination, project management and development of talking points, toolkits, website content, community benefit activity updates and messaging materials to support external engagement activities.
Assists in the development and management of ChristianaCare’s digital content, including social media and other forms of digital communication relevant to the health system’s strategic priorities and the impacts of current and proposed legislative and regulatory changes.
Developing and maintaining a consistent cadence of regular status updates to internal and external stakeholders about engagement and advocacy activities.
Collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure that advocacy priorities, legislative and regulatory commentary, talking points, social media, and other communications are in support of organizational strategic aims.
Education and Experience Requirements
