Key Responsibilities: Health Economics and Policy Research: Oversee comprehensive health economics research to inform policy development and support economic evaluations of GSK produdcts. Utilize health technology assessment methodologies to analyze the cost-effectiveness, impact, and value of medicines and vaccines. Strategic Relationship Management: Foster collaborative partnerships with government stakeholders to gain insights and share information that supports informed National Formulary decisions. These relationships are vital for understanding the healthcare landscape and ensuring that GSK’s contributions to health policy are well-represented and aligned with national health objectives. Policy Development and Advocacy: Engage in the development of health policies that align with GSK’s priority therapeutic areas. Monitor policy and legislative movements, analyze their implications, and contribute to discussions that enhance access to healthcare. Strategic Planning: Support the development of a comprehensive market access strategy plan, with a strong focus on healthcare policies and improving access to GSK’s priority therapeutic areas. Value Communication: Partner with Market Access, Marketing and Medical Affairs to generate robust evidence and develop pricing strategies that effectively communicate the value of GSK medicines and vaccines, ensuring their reimbursement and competitive positioning. Performance Monitoring: Create and utilize advanced reporting tools to monitor access opportunities, key payer events, and benchmark GSK’s performance against competitors in securing access. Universal Healthcare Act Expertise: Acquire a deep understanding of the Universal Healthcare Act, its policy objectives, health priorities, and initiatives, particularly as they relate to GSK product access. Global Collaboration: Collaborate with global and regional Government Affairs and Market Access teams to bring international best practices into the local operating company (LOC). Administrative and Additional Duties: Manage administrative responsibilities and undertake additional tasks as determined by the line manager. Competencies: Analytical Skills: Strong ability to perform quantitative analysis and apply health economic modeling techniques. Research Proficiency: Experience in conducting policy research, synthesizing data, and translating findings into actionable insights. Economic Evaluation: Knowledge of budget impact analysis, cost-effectiveness analysis, and other health economic evaluation methods. Policy Analysis: Ability to understand and interpret health policy, legislation, and regulations, and their impact on the pharmaceutical industry. Qualifications: Strong stakeholder management and communication abilities. Bachelor’s degree in Health Policy, Public Affairs, Economics, or related field; Master’s degree in Health Economics will be a strong advantage. Proven experience in health economics, policy research, or market access within the pharmaceutical industry. Strong understanding of the Philippine healthcare system and procurement processes. Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to analyze policy trends and their implications for the industry. Strategic thinker with a collaborative mindset.
