Overview: The Government Affairs Lead is responsible for developing and executing strategies in close collaboration with the commercial, health economics, market access, and pricing teams to drive shaping of policies & regulations and enhance penetration of healthcare technologies in Turkiye. This role collaborates with the commercial, health economics, market access, and pricing teams to strategize and execute portfolio priorities in public by building and sustaining strong working relationships with public authorities, policymakers, and decision-makers. As a key function, this role is the main point of contact for the Central Purchasing Office (DMO), Ministry of Health (MoH), and Ministry of Social Security to drive listings in the DMO catalog for effective portfolio differentiation, value-based healthcare and enhanced reimbursement of focus procedures. Coaching teams in public penetration, value-based healthcare development, and stakeholder relationship management are essential responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in government affairs, and health economics and a commitment to drive optimal value strategies while upholding the organization’s Credo and Leadership Imperatives. This role is also expected to have significant reach and influence to shape the external healthcare environment. Key Responsibilities: Consultation and Strategy Development: + Collaborates with local commercial, health economics & market access and pricing, teams to define and align on government affairs goals and develops comprehensive penetration and scaling strategies for NPIs and strategic portfolio. Benchmarking and Metrics: + Drives successful execution and refines strategies as needed against key performance metrics by assessing healthcare needs and expectations. + Establishes and maintains strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external key decision-makers and public authorities to drive penetration of strategic portfolio and NPIs with targeted scale and profitability. Coaching and Training: + Guides teams in integrating market penetration strategies into product plans, ensuring alignment with regulatory, safety, and quality standards. + Mentors and trains junior colleagues on techniques, processes, and responsibilities related to market Strategic Execution: + Executes critical deliverables to enhance presence at meetings with authorities, key customers, industry groups, and other business partners. Advisory Role: + Serves as a key advisor on public penetration and government affairs strategies, engaging and aligning with commercial, health economics and pricing teams to ensure a cohesive approach. Cultural Integration: + Incorporates Johnson & Johnson’s Credo and Leadership Imperatives into team objectives and decision-making processes, fostering a culture of integrity and accountability. Additional Responsibilities: In addition to the above responsibilities, this role assumes leadership in the corporate internal and external communication function for Türkiye. + Manages all communication activities within the company. (Townhalls, social media communication, internal emails, etc. ) + Represents MedTech Türkiye in local cross-sector DE&I activities. (C4C, Operation Smile, HBA, WLI.) + Represents MedTech Türkiye in the CMT (Crisis Management Team) and leads processes carried out locally, updates the entire leadership team, starting with the General Manager, on a subject basis, and ensures action follow-ups. **Qualifications** + Bachelor’s degree in health economics, public health, business administration, or a related field; advanced degree preferred. + +10 years’ experience in working with public authorities, policy and decision makers to shape external healthcare market + Relevant experience in health economics, market access, pricing, or reimbursement strategies within the healthcare industry + Effective presentation skills + Established level of credibility and strong understanding of the external stakeholders + Mature, adaptive and flexible disposition to effectively interact with a range of diverse external stakeholders and senior level GA&P executives + Good presence, outstanding interpersonal skills, and excellent leadership and influencing skills + Strong attention to detail and technicalities + Excellent organizational skills, time flexibility and ability to work under pressure + Good knowledge in MS Office + Fluency in written and spoken English as well as Turkish For more than 130 years, diversity, equity & inclusion (DEI) has been a part of our cultural fabric at Johnson & Johnson and woven into how we do business every day.
