Your role:
Represent the business to governments and other key stakeholders across the West Africa region.Develop and maintain key relationships with Ministers of Health, their departments and other relevant individuals to support the transformation of health systems in their respective territories. Coordinate actions through strategic partners in government and industry communicating corporate positions and objectives. Develop strategic projects which may include implementation of public policy activities, government and industry lobbying efforts, advocating government funding initiatives and identifying new opportunities favorably advancing the company’s strategic imperatives.Represent the company and business interests with local or regional legislatures, government agencies, and regional/national industry associations on her/his level. Is a member of respective lobbying groups to influence decision processes in the matter concerned on her/his level. Monitor relevant landscape and proposes and/or implement communication activities towards political stakeholders. May liaise with authorities and local legislative and executive branch officials advising them of company concerns. Evolve and maintain personal contacts to the major stakeholders in the decision process.Prepare political briefings for internal Top Management. Design plans for government outreach by providing analysis of emerging or existing legislative public policy issues impacting the company. Gather intelligence and assist in the mapping of key stakeholders in respective territories in addition to preparation of position papers, policy briefings, presentations, and workshops to support engagement with the public sector.Your expertise:
You have a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) and 8 years of related experience or Master’s Degree with 6 years of related experience.Existing relationships with key stakeholders across West Africa would be advantageous English and French speaking required, Arabic in addition would be advantageous.Experience in the Healthcare industry is preferable.Knowledge of radiology, cardiology, neurology and/or oncology would be preferable but not required.To find out more about the specific business, have a look at Products & Services - Siemens Healthineers (siemens-healthineers.com)
