Hourly base pay rate is $31.49 - $47.26/hour. The hourly base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.

Job Description

Cox Enterprises, Inc. is seeking a Licensing Specialist/Sr. Analyst for their Licensing Center of Excellence (”COE”) who assists the primary points of contact and subject-matter experts who manage licensing, background investigations, regulatory requirements, and compliance in support of the Legal Department’s Licensing COE.

Primary Roles and Responsibilities:

Assist with state and local licensing applications for new and renewing business and employee licenses.

Assist with research, in conjunction with applicable points of contact and legal and regulatory points of contact, on state and local ordinances pertaining to personnel requirements

Collaborate with points of contact to address any necessary changes to documented processes and workflows

Assist with updates to state or local permitting and licensing requirements

Assist with changes and effective communications updates to key internal stakeholders

Ensure licensing and background information is appropriately logged and updated in applicable databases for licensees/licenses in accordance with the Cox Enterprise Code of Conduct.

Assist with management of external relationships with new licensees to ensure all documentation, fingerprinting, applications, and necessary information is submitted and processed appropriately and in accordance with established timelines

Assist with processing payments with accounts payable team and licensing vendors.

Update database (s) with all licensing activity in real-time

Administrative duties in support of all Licensing COE responsibilities

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and 2 years’ experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master’s degree and up to 2 years’ experience; or 6 years’ experience in a related field

Strong MS Office skills

Experience working with highly confidential information

Experience with legal, compliance, regulatory, or contract related work

Experience in creating and managing detailed spreadsheets and tracking

Preferred:

Experience using and updating databases

Ensured the accurate distribution of original license copies
